Reunited with my baby brother after a year in foster care 

Yasmyn ofcourse you are going to care, one because he is your brother, but two he is so close in age to Millie that will resonate with you in a way, you’ll want the same things for him as you do her. Thankfully, she's the most amazing, beautiful and extraordinary young woman.. but that doesn't negate the pain I have caused the person I love more than anyone in this entire world. 💔 I just don't know how people continue, over decades, to have more and more children.. only to do the same thing. Sweet girl, your maternal instincts are so strong and he's so close in age to your baby. It's natural that you want the best for him and your sisters. You are a huge asset to your siblings, always ready to step in and give them love and support. Don't ever suppress your loving and nurturing instincts, not many people your age could, or would, step up for their family the way you do. I think so many of your followers admire you for doing what you do.

Kids can tell who someone is by smell from when they’re babies but development wise they don’t retain proper memories until they’re 3. So I think he can tell that you’re someone special to him!

He does remember you. You share blood. A bond that is unbreakable. He is a piece of you.

The fact that ur going out of your and making time to go see him just says soo much about you as a person. I know that’s your brother and that’s what normal people would do, but not everyone is “normal” your a special person and I admire that about u! And he is the absolute cutest and he looks happy!

It is totally okay to care! Over the last 10 years I have found out I have 2 OLDER brothers who are both in their 40s and I feel the same way about caring for them and I haven't even met them! Prayers for you and your family.

I can’t believe how real you are, it is really comforting in a way because we can sense that you are not fake you know. I feel for you and I am glad that you at least share it a little and that you don’t endure all of this by yourself. You truly are an amazing human, I can see it even if we don’t know each other. Be proud of yourself you deserve it. And you know, yes it is painful to care about him like you said, you feel like you should not, but it just shows how good you are and its okay to let yourself go and cry and care about him. He will be blessed to have someone like you care about him. As long as it is healthy for you I think that it is good for both of you, another human to love and god knows that love does not come without pain unfortunately. I totally believe that he remembers you. I know that at 10 months I remembered someone that I hadn't seen since I was maybe 4 months old. So I'm sure he recognized you as someone who loves him.

You are an incredibly strong mama, sister and woman. Give yourself some grace, you went through a lot with your brother when he was first born and still now. A siblings' bond is so strong. It's ok to be emotional about it. Also side note yes my 4 yr old loves doc McStuffins!! It's on repeat in our house

The reason why they (doctors or midwives looking after the woman) say not to scream, is because when you scream you are wasting all your energy that is required to push with all your mighty strength. Of course this should be told to the person giving birth In a more polite way rather than shouting at them. Also midwives are neither nurses or doctors. They are medical professionals trained to provide care and be with the woman throughout pregnancy, birth and after birth. They know a lot of medical complications related to pregnancy, birth and after birth for both mother and baby and provide the appropriate service for each individual. They are also trained to give certain medications that can be given during pregnancy etc.

Your feelings are valid and I couldn’t even imagine how your feeling but your doing the best that you can. Don’t feel like you aren’t because everything so overwhelming and human emotions are just like wildfires it just spreads once it comes out. Just keep being your amazing self and put the foot out and make sure you don’t feel like you don’t have regrets

I have prayed for you siblings for a long while now. He needs his blood to be with. As grandmother in a Kinship the sibling relationship is the most stable in this situation. We have to do better keeping siblings together.

If you're not in a position to take your little brother in, or another family member for that matter, you can try to work out visitation with his adoptive family. When 2 of my cousin's grand babies were adopted (via foster care) she was able to remain in their lives as grandma. They here toddlers at the time and her visits were on birthdays and holidays. I believe she has had them overnight now that they're older.

Its because you have such a mothering heart and instinct. I imagine its really hard for you that is still your baby brother. You already have your hands full and I know you wish you could save him but you are already doing such a great job as a mom and just pray really hard that God puts the right choice on the judges and CPS heart! We don't always know what is best but God does, and I just ask him to work this situation out for the good of everyone especially this sweet little boy. God bless you Yasmyn your incredibly strong, I had 3 children by the age of 20 and there were some really hard times, but some really good ones too. I would not change it for the world. I also ended up having baby number 4 later in life at 35 I was actually pregnant at the same time my oldest child was. She delivered my grandson 4 months before I had a little girl and my grandson and daughter are both now 17 like a blink of an eye and it just feels like I was that age. I was 17 when I got pregnant with my oldest. My youngest graduates this year and I am freaking out. I wish I would have had more kids now. We tried it just didn't happen. You have to cry and let your feelings out, this is really a hard situation to be in, give yourself a little bit of grace and mercy for the seasons of life, God does!
