You don’t want to work in an Amazon warehouse as you will get injured sooner or later, especially if you are aged over thirty, unfit and unable to concentrate all day. Being chronically injured destroys the quality of your life. Better to work in a company which cares for the health of its employees even if you earn less than at Amazon.
I work target distribution center starting pay for everyone $19 we have safety meeting if you do something unsafe they show everyone security camera video
I worked at target DC too as a packer, and you’re right at Target safety was number 1 and we could get fired for not following safety procedures. But honestly Amazon is another thing their FC has so many robotics that we can’t keep up with rate. After working 5hrs I’m in pain.
If you are considering applying for Amazon do not work for Amazon! I repeat...do not work for Amazon! I worked for almost two years at an Amazon warehouse and it was terrible. High turn over rate among associates and managers. It was like a sweat shop and they do not care about you. For my hard work , I was awarded a silly little pin to put on my vest, skittles, an Amazon sweater, and a lunch box. You don't learn any skills here, sometimes they don't even train the new hires it is extremely competitive and they work you to death and there is no guarantee that you will get promoted. They do not give bonuses to part time workers. Talk to an actual employee at an Amazon warehouse about the work environment, don't listen to the businessmen in suits who are trying to say good things about the company and protect its reputation and "are not aware of the harsh work environment" . Avoid this place! I am no longer a customer of Amazon due to my moral standards.
Shit company everyone is a damn supervisor forgot what they call them selfs the actual managers are kids that just graduated college that have never set foot in a warehouse I actually got in trouble for staking pallets by myself the place reminds me of high school there’s an A & B lunch and if you don’t feel good there’s a nurses office in the building 🤣🤣
well I enjoy my job and I work at Amazon , and my joint in my thumb was hurting me so I quit eating so much sugar and now my thumb don't hurt my hips quit hurting, I lost weight I drink more water. I don't twist my body around all Goofy nose over toes what you guys just lay off, I was homeless I couldn't find a job anywhere Amazon hired me when nobody else would. Amazon is not forcing you to work there
Take a look inside an XPO Logistics facility. If anyone here has worked for XPO, you know about the insanely dangerous things we’ve done for the company. You’ve seen people damn near get crushed or loose a finger/arm easily. From working in 90*F docks, to -20s, to breathing in dusty ass air. If y’all work for XPO don’t mention location(s). But y’all seen how wild it is. And some injuries don’t get reported, for the fear of getting in trouble & loosing your job.
I am not. My knee is all messed up right now. I feel like it's dislocated. Just got a x ray today and called HR and told them. I am waiting for my results and God forbid something is wrong but if so I am gonna file for workman's comp. I hope and pray it's nothing though.
