👋🏻 About Me
Hey there, my name is @daveebbelaar and I work as a freelance data scientist and coach. You've stumbled upon my RU-vid channel, where I give away all my secrets when it comes to working with data. I'm not here to sell you any data course - everything you need is right here on RU-vid. Making videos is my passion, and I've been doing it for 18 years. I just genuinely enjoy helping people.
While I don't sell any data courses, I do offer a coaching program for data professionals looking to start their own freelance business. If that sounds like you, head over to www.datalumina.io/ to learn more about working with me and kick-starting your freelance career.

I never leave comments, I mean why bother. But The progress I have made on my current projects because of the tutorials and content you are consistently posting is adding so much value to my learning experience. Thank you for making this technology accessible to those who look up to you. Cool guy, respect.

I am only a third of the way in but watned to say how good this video is in terms of explaining everything step by step. Understanding the set up for a project, using vs code, the terminal and creating an environment are often overlooked but are a major source of frustration to beginners like myself. This video has already helped clarify things a tonne.

Is there a part II for this project? Would love to see you struggle through and find a solution for a seemingly "real world" problem:) This is really great. Always enjoy watching your videos:)

Thank you for the video - a lot of useful tips. The next level will be when GPT-4 will be able to read those data visualizations and give us some insight.

That is bash-specific command (for macOS and Linux) to create a file using the terminal.

@@daveebbelaar I see. Thanks for your explanation. Can you someday post a video explaining how you create your terminals and etc. I use windows and have no zsh terminal in my vscode, and don't know what is the alternative command for window.😣 (Trying to fill this gap with other videos...)

For anyone else having issues activating (and installing the environment packages) - switch from PowerShell to commandprompt next to the "+" sign when you have a terminal up. For whatever reason I could not activate the environment in PS.

Also make sure to run the python version your environment is bound to. There is a "change kernel" option.
