I started using apple few years ago only and still find it very odd about the pics going to google instead. The amount of work you have to do for that to work is way too much. You telling me I have to empty my picture storage every time otherwise I’d have double pictures? For that just switch back to default

I think its more so that he saves them on a type of cloud and not saved on his phone. Also using google on apple, depending the situation, can be a pain. That’s just my view on it though

The Google photos thing isn't that confusing, guys. You take a photo and yes, it does go to your camera roll. The benefit of Google photos (for me) is the ease of sharing batches of photos w/ other Google (yes, GMAIL) users and knowing that, if something happens to my phone, I know where I can get my photos on any device that can access the internet. I just go into Google photos and check by the photos I want to share (or just click the date if I want to share photos from an entire day) and easily share them with other Google users. Yes, there are other ways to do this, but let's not act like we're talking about some obscure company no one has heard of here.

I'm with Link on this! I've used Google Photos for years and it just keeps getting better. It automatically saves and backs up all of my pics and screen grabs. It's so much better than the competition.

You log into your Google account and it automatically uploads to Photos. My point is to have a permanent copy outside of the phone. And my phone doesn't have a ton of space otherwise.

Y’all need to stop giving Link a hard time over his eff ing photos. A LOT of iPhone users use google photos or other storage services to keep their phone uncluttered. In spanish, we call them nino de la teria, which means kid from the dirt. When I was a kid, we used to find them all the time. We never see them anymore, but I read they're in a decline in california

I'm on links side. Storing everything on Google folders instead of iCloud made swapping back to android from Apple much easier. Also makes transfer between Apple and computer easier, especially with my computer being too old for newest iTunes.

I did the "Baby" prompt thinking it would bring up a picture of my dog as a puppy or something. It did not. Instead it came to the conclusion my cousin looked like a baby 🤣
