I loved the Green Zulu Time ever since i've seen it. But the 42 was just gigantic on my wrist. I think the 39 will be one of the most popular watches this year.
They are one of the few brands with real history and archives to look at for inspiration. They are so underrated. Part of me thinks Swatch Group throttles their innovation and creativity. If they truly focused on reimagining some of their older watch designs, they’d be more attractive than Omega. Swatch won’t allow it.
Actually logines is a very big seller in china and rest of Asia. Longines has market share of around 5% globally, Tudor is about 1/3 of longines market only. Just being hyped by RU-vidr pr machinery of Rolex parent company.
@@mikec3454 longines has a big market share globally. They're strong in china and Asia. They account for 5% more or less of global market...tudor is around 1/3 of that only. If you're in the US your view might seem very different especially if you hear these RU-vid hypers for Tudor... you'd think longines is left in the dust but reality is very much different.
I’m not sure there’s another brand that I love more than Longines at this point. They have so many great watches. Love my 42mm Zulu Time and 40mm Master Moonphase and definitely plan to add more eventually.
Props to Longines for this releases*.* I like how they update older dimensions right along with the same features when introducing them in newer sizes. I hope the 39mm Zulu will be a great hit for them, so that they will release the flyback chronograph in 39 soon as well😈
Thank you for doing the footwork to make this moment happen. Mr. Miccio's passion is palpable and I enjoy any time I get to hear him present Longines' accomplishments.
Longines is so underrated. I have both a Spirit 37mm in champagne dial, as well as an Omega Planet Ocean 39mm. Let me say the Longines does not sit on the stand. It definitely has share of wrist...
I am splitting most of my time these days between a black dial seamaster and the black Zulu. I honestly love them both almost equally. If I had to have only one it would be the Omega- but it’s hard to believe one cost nearly twice than the other.
Not underrated. Most units sold of any Swiss watchmaker last year. They're raising prices just like everyone else. Big fan, but let's not act like they're unknown and not selling tons of watches at huge profit.
@theaussiewhinger love the Ultra Chron. Ordered it, and it came in scratched. Also, the lume is poor. (Not even on seconds hand.) But it's awesome looking. Longines also need better micro-adjust for their bracelets.
Swatch is using Longines to undercut and over deliver vs Tudor… and I love it. This Zulu GMT 39 is better than the BB GMT or Pro all day long. Perfectly proportioned.
I own the new Zulu Time with the green bezel. Incredible watch. I'm now hoping Longines launches a new version of their Lindbergh (@13:35 in video) - now THAT is a beautiful piece!
I doubt Teddy gets anything out of championing this brand. I think his enthusiasm is entirely genuine. And it is very pleasing to see a personality as big as his in the watch world make this effort and champion this brand as well as he does. Because I think they thoroughly deserve it. The 42 was great but just a shade big. This is ridiculous, just superb Thanks Teddy
no Date is the new trend, but the watch companies are still not giving enough attention to that. I only buy watches without Date or a centralized Date. Symmetric watches are always the best.
The 39mm Spirit Zulu Time is a total game changer for me. I adore the color profile and design of the Spirit Zulu Time, but the dial size and lug-to-lug make it wear relatively big on my wrist and to the eye, and the watch head is a bit too thick and heavy. The 39mm release should drive all those issues away while keeping some of the best features of the original SZT. The Flyback chrono is also so attractive. Now Longines is definitely on the list for my next potential purchase!
I own the 2022 release of the Hydroconquest 39mm with a ceramic bezel in blue and I love it. Ever since I bought that watch I was looking at the Zulu Time, especially in green, but couldn't get past the 42mm case size (I have a 6 1/4" wrist). For months I was wishing that they would release the Zulu Time in a 40mm or smaller case and now this has instantly become a must buy for me.
Perfection.. Longines is so underrated and I'm happy about it (for now at least). Means I can get the watches for a great price and don't have to overpay.
At this point and especially after buying the 37 mm Spirit some eight months ago, Longines has become my favorite watch brand. I'm discovering so many astonishing pieces in their catalog lately. As for my spirit, it is irreplaceable on my wrist
Agreed. Tudors are great, but there's a lot of unfair bias towards them. So much so that a lot of people place Longines below Tudor, and somehow equal to Omega. Ridiculous. These watches are further proof that Longines are in direct competition with Tudor, and offer a very distinctive identity of their own.
@@theaussiewhinger exactly! And RU-vidr hypers somehow are doing this on a concerted effort, makes me wonder if it's actually rolex pr machinery...who knows?🙄
I own a Spirit Zulu Time GMT 42 and an Avigation Bigeye. They are my 2 favorites, and daily wears, in my collection that includes Breitlings, Panerai, Omega, and a vintage Rolex. Longines is one of my favorite brands and I'm probably going to pick a 40mm Flagship shortly for dress wear.
I just don’t know how Longines continues to “fly” under the radar like they do. These watches are so beautiful and the price points make these things a relative steal
They are a big seller globally. They have a 5.6% market share. Makes them among the top brands. Perspectives only. Also don't get swayed by RU-vidr hypers for Tudor. Try checking actual market share .. you'd be surprised longines outsells Tudor 3:1
@@jeffreymorris6930 yeah bec many don't seem to grasp worldwide markets... Only their immediate vicinity. But I would say compared to Tudor longines is less hyped.
Longines Master Collection Blue dial and Blue leather band is one of the best looking watches I have seen this year. It was in the display of a luxury hotel in Geneva that I could not go by without stopping and staring every day. I could not believe it was only $3,500.
WOW ! Love the new colourway with the Gold. I wanted the Green Bezel taken away and the rest of the colourway to be used throughout. I actually think this has gone above & beyond. Thank you Longines
It says so much for a historic company like Longines when they LISTEN to the feedback from customers and come out with new products based on the customers’ feedback!
Hallo Teddy, it is so fabulous to hear so much about the history and how they use the history to bring watches back with new twist. Longines is for sure a very good brand. And I will look into these new models for sure and what else they have new out there. Thank you for this informative video and, as always, love from Switzerland 🇨🇭
Fantastic! I love the Zulu time, but when I tried on the 42mm, it was just too large. Thank you, Longines for scaling it down for us smaller wristed folks!
Finally a 39 mm Zulu time. This is absolutely perfect. I have a small wrist and had tried the 42 mm version. It was.juat to big with the diameter and the thickness. But this will be absolutely perfect of a gmt watch for close to 3000$ range
This is a knockout piece. I would love if they made a version that combined the chronograph and gmt function into one piece at 39-40mm at about 3800-4000 usd. I mean that would be awesome!
GAAAHHHH!!! I just bought the spirit Zulu 42mm with the green bezel. If I would have known they would release a gold bezel version I would have waited. FML!!!
Teddy you’re so right, Longines doesn’t do enough pr on their history. Nowadays all brands have heritage models, but some brands are more historic than others. In todays world where we all have pocket super computers with access to limitless knowledge, it’s surprising how little we use these tools. We choose to believe the hype monster. Thank you for making these videos, looking into brands that are usually overlooked.
I just love the lume in the beautiful numbering, nicely proportioned on those rich colourful dials...Longines make nice looking stuff and their Zulus are top of my list for a GMT. Still unsure about the Yelp review on the face but I can get over that, I reckon.
Was about to purchase the 42mm zulu time last month even though it's too large for my wrist, ultimately decided not to settle on a watch that I don't fully love. But this, steel and gold 39mm, I am heading down to the closest A&D tomorrow.
I’ve balked several times at getting the Zulu time. I love the look of the watch, but just couldn’t get over the 42 mm size as it’s just a tad too big for me. With the 39 mm size now, I will definitely be picking one up. Just still can’t decide between the green and the black.
Love what Longine do. The Zulu Time was a great release but was too big and heavy. To me, the watch felt unbalanced due to the watch head. The 39mm looks like it will correct this, so can't wait to try one on. Could be my next pick up👍
The last week's have been a roller coaster for me. I was almost sold on getting a BB54. Then Tissot just launched the PRX35 and now the Zulu Time in 39? Either rmy wallet will bleed or my soul 😂
Longines is crushing it. It's rare that I come across a recent design of theirs and turn my nose up at it. *looks down at the gorgeous Master Moonphase on my wrist.
Finally! It wasn’t no secret on the web that this watch was coming but better for me that I started to save money for the Zulu 39mm 😅 it’s my goal for 2023. Of course i aspect a 40mm of the Flyback for next year!
I sold my original green/gilt Zulu time and got a smp300. Now i kinda want this 39mm but I’ll wait until it can coexist with my omega. Still on the list
Nice to see the Zulu Time 39mm, especially the new brown and gold configuration. But when we can finally get to see the Legend Diver 39mm? That's the one Im really waiting for
