Except they cannibalized many epic models from the Heritage collection in favor of the Hydroconquest and Zulu models in the sports collection. Beautiful vintage inspired chronographs not really offered by anyone else: gone. Still a great brand but somewhat myopic. If anyone can make it all, Longines is capable yet unwilling. I was blessed to stumble across the Longines Heritage Pulsometer Chronograph: absolutely one of my favorite timepieces with a very charming vertical clutch column wheel chronograph mechanism and monopusher with pulsometer scale. Classic. Rarely produced elsewhere. . .but discontinued? Why?

We have to respectfully agree that lately LONGINES have released better watch than some “big names.” My first ever Longines was Master Collection Moonphase. I couldn’t believe what I was getting for $3000. Absolutely lovely piece! 👌🏼

Awesome brand. It’s the Rolex for smart money. I’ve worn the brand on my wrist for over thirty years. When my last chronograph finally died from daily use I sent it to Switzerland and they told me it was beyond repair as they did not have the parts for it. They then offered me 70% of any new watch. A master collection chronograph now gets bettered daily on my wrist. Love the brand.

I’m a petite (4’-11’’) woman who’s always loved watches. But, I am not really interested in the normal smaller, non-complicated jewelry-type watches typically marketed to women. In 2015, I wanted to get myself a really special watch. I ended up choosing the 42 mm Longines Master Quadruple Retrograde. It is THE watch in my - small and modest- collection. Talk about value for money! I still get joy wearing and even just looking at it. Although it’s quite substantial, I find it suits me perfectly and I often get compliments when I wear it (both at home in Switzerland or when I travel back to Canada). Thank you for this video and also the one when you visited them (I was soooo jealous!).

I understand completely what you are talking about! Men’s watches are so much more interesting, better colours, more complications, and more automatic movements? I have a 16cm wrist so I can wear 35-40mm comfortably. If you can wear 42mm maybe I should get my Omega moon watch…. 😃

I'm really glad you made this video giving Longines this in-depth coverage. I've historically been a Seiko fan given history and value, but over the last few years, I feel Longines has taken that position of delivering exemplary value in both movement and designs at a very aggressive price point-especially as Seiko has been increasing prices while not delivering any innovations in movements and just iterating on same past designs. Longines is now making great watchmaking accessible to many. Great video, Teddy!

As someone who just bought the new hydro conquest gmt I can confirm to the quality of these watches. I find it to match the quality of my omega seamaster diver coming in at a price point that makes it much more compelling as an everyday driver. Fantastic video Teddy, Longines is a superb brand, they don't shout loudly about their quality because it's not necessary when you're hundreds of years old. I have several, including the elegant heritage classic you showed with Breguet-style engraving, the bronze case no date Legend 300m diver and a 1950 automatic watch still going strong after nearly 75 years! The designs, movements and excellent finishing are fantastic value. Albert Einstein wasn't wrong :)

My first "love" was a Lindbergh, but I quickly realized that it was too big for me. Instead the first better watch I bought was a Conquest. Since then I have gravitated away from dress watches towards bigger ones. And I also strive towards only having one watch of each brand in my collection, so... But If I instead would go for a one-brand collection Longines is one of few I would consider. My suggestion would be: a Flagshipp Moonphase, a Conquest (the sportswatch version), the Ultra-Chron and the Big Eye. (It's almost a must to have an aviation watch with that brand history.)

Loved this video Teddy, very difficult on a brand like longines. You mentioned the history, some historic model and the actual lineup. It is a massive effort to stay lean and fast and a deep dive on the brand. The fact is longines 60 yrs ago was positioned higher than omega, and now even if is fast recovering still is like a butterfly changing is form to a new more premium one without forgetting that the quartz models and swatch make them survive. Hope they keep up with the job they are doing to fight tudor in the premium but affordable range

I bought a Master Collection Moon Phase Chronograph last year and couldn't be happier. It is really something special. There is no watch out there that has better specs for the money. It uses a highly upgraded 7751 movement that features silicon parts for better magnetic resistance, a column wheel replacing the cam system, and a longer power reserve of over 70 hours. It isn't perfect: water resistance is low. The bracelet uses friction pins instead of screws. There is no micro adjustment or half links. That being said, it really is a great watch and I enjoy it more than almost anything else in my collection.

Longines is my favorite watch brand, as a result I have seven different Longines watches in my fifteen watch collection. My everyday Longines watch is the blue Longines HydroConquest with blue rubber strap. because it is a solid watch that is waterproof and also because I am a Scuba Diver. My dress Longines is either the La Grande Classique de Longines or the Master Collection Moonphase Chronograph with blue alligator strap. With an interest in Lindbergh aviation history, I also have a Limited Edition Replica of 1,000 watches, a Lindbergh Hour Angle Watch. I just got one. I had a Longines Opposition that I gifted to my son and I really liked it. I have a quartz Tag Heuer Aquaracer Chrono and the Opposition was also quartz. So my first automatic is the green dial ceramic bezel HydroConquest. I went to a shop and compared it with a 1K Mido and boy the Longines blew it away. Yes it's more expensive but the amount of quality and features for the price was really impressive once I compared it to other watches. It really is a fantastic piece. I love that it goes with everything and that the green dial is muted enough that it doesn't command attention. No one but a watch enthusiast will notice it on my wrist which to be honest I really like. I know I have a watch at the beginning of the luxury watch tier and it goes unnoticed. Great watch, and it now sits on my wrist way more time than the Tag.

Nowadays te Ultra Chron is my grail watch. I'm trying to convince my wife to get me one for our 25th anniversary, by the end of the year

I have a decent mid range watch collection of Breitlings, Omega, Panerai and Rolex but my honest 2 favorite watches are my Longines Avigation Bigeye, and Longines Spirit Zulu Time GMT. I'm thinking of buying Heritage Silver Arrow as a dress watch. I found one at an AD.

got my 39mm with the white dial on the 3-link "Bader" bracelet watch on amzwatch 3 weeks ago and am loving it to pieces. Absolute fantastic watch that wears super comfortable on my 6.75 inch wrist. Chose the 3-link over the 5-link bracelet for the toolless quick adjustment. Way more comfortable than my Longines Hydroconquest 41 mm.

I've recently began my obsession as a watch collector. And i must say- out of all the luxury brands I've been researching, for me the amzwatch's watches are the most intriguing.

Can’t beat gold polished Roman numerals that sparkle like jewels in the sunlight. Loving the sun ray dial man that pops! amzwatch watches. What a beautiful subtle piece.

I inherited my grandfather's 1965 longines, small second with a gold linen dial. It has the rectangular shaped 370 movement and is cased by wittnauer. I love the new conquest design with the stick indices. 👍

I hope the boutique is going well. It was an excellent way to further monetize the channel. Well done. You're still the top reviewer. Thanks.

Dont think the shop is there for the sake of the channel - its the other way around. But their videos are great for sure.

I've always liked the brand. Always have a classy and understated look. And budget is a tough one... But certainly much more reasonably priced than other options. Definitely I have them on my own radar.

Longines also got so many gold-steel combination watches at a good price. Longines is a brand I would buy used unless something I really like and Longines has so many to fall in love. They do give discounts.

Been curios about Longines for more than 20 years, but back then couldn't afford one and didn't quite like the size of their models. But, as soon as I saw the spirit 37 mm in flesh, I decided to buy it on spot

Yes, I have bought from amzwatch more than once. I even bought a new Omega Speedmaster which came with the fancy box and packaging. I am thrilled with all my purchases here. I would purchase from amzwatch again for sure.

If Longines made that black and gilt dial Record Heritage chronograph in a full gold case with a gold beads of rice bracelet, then they could just have my money.

Very informative video! I love this brand! Before purchasing the HydroConquest GMT, I did a great deal of research and couldn’t find any other brand that can beat Longines.
