Nico So I didn’t avoid any of the required classes. For example, I took PE online so I could have more space on my schedule to take APs. I took precal over the summer. I tried to leave as much space for APs as possible.

1570 is an absolutely amazing score. Colleges understand that some schools limit the number of APS so don’t worry. Maybe try to take an online AP course? Also don’t forget about EC which are super important too!!

And if you want to do medicine your focus should be on the sciences, but it would also show academic curiosity and versatility on your part if you took different kinds of AP classes.

I have the dilemma of choosing between AP courses or the Engineering Academy at my school, but in engineering i wont be able to take AP classes. Which one would be better for college apps? personally i feel like i should stick to the ap classes but in the back of my mind i feel as though i may be missing out on the engineering academy :/ thank you

Jorja Garcia I’m gonna give you my personal opinion: it’s better to take AP classes. I know people who went the route of a specialized program and it didn’t help them get into the school they wanted. I think APs are better but the engineering program probably gives you a certificate that could be useful too. To me APs just seem more competitive.
