My wife and I have been spending weeks studying Revelation in our morning worship because of your wonderful series and handouts. When we are finished we will study the whole armor because we see it written about so much by EGW and know it is a strong element/tool against the deceiver. Hope to see you again Pr. Mark when we return stateside. Blessings...
When you tell people that they can keep sinning their whole life, you'll fill that church. Jesus came to destroy the sin in out bodies. If you're sinning, you don't have him and you're definitely not a Christian. You still have that fallen nature and water can't kill that. You need to be baptized by Christ alone, he's the baptizer. If you are confessing the same sin for the third time and you have the spirit of God in you, the Holy Ghost, you died, spiritually. God does not put his spirit into a dirty vessel, and nor will he leave it in a dirty vessel if you dirty it again. On the cross, when Jesus took upon himself our sins, God moved out, same for you. Christians don't sin, and belief in Jesus is an action, not something that you blab with your mouth.
Good morning with Jesus Christ please pray for Rajesh for his conversion of his family for my financial life for my children in the name of Jesus Christ
24 Elders may be the Patriach and Prophets. But the twelve disciples, would not have rose when Jesus died, at special ressurection. Remember they were still alive.
I need help to know when to hold my tongue, and when to open it. such as, today on Facebook, I saw a Catholic page saying (paraphrasing) people need to come to the true Church and be a part of it. I really wanted to ask... you mean the one that says man can forgive sin? The one that say the Pope is God on Earth? The one that killed millions of Christians during the dark ages? The one that changed the Commandments? The one that says Mary is the intercessor, and pray to her and not Jesus? The list goes on, but I'm sure you get the idea. It seems more and more that people have taken sides, and no one will listen anymore, so not sure I am making a difference to those who are already in churches, and I should instead focus on the unsaved who are not Church goers, and have not really heard the word as intended.
"For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth" Romans 10:4 Seems prett6 clear. Works are unnecessary after Jesus. Says this all over the NT.
We do not say that works are necessary. But if according to your thought, Christ ended the law or terminated the law, then it would go against what Jesus says in His sermon on the mount. Jesus said in Matthew 5:17, "“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them." So, Jesus himself says He did not abolish the law. So, then what does Paul mean when he says Christ is the end of the law? The two key words are "end" and "law." This word has a whole range of meanings. The word "end" in greek is telos. It could mean termination but it could also mean fulfillment. The word law here in this context doesn't simply refer only to the 10 commandments, it refers to the whole pentateuch. So, Paul is saying that Jesus was the fulfillment of the Old Testament figures and symbols. Strongs Concordance description of fulfill G4134: satisfy, execute, finish, complete, end, expire. You claim that the sabbath isn't a work but also claim it's a requirement for salvation, ie it will be the mark of the beast and anyone who does not worship on Saturday will not be saved. "Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an HOLYDAY, or of the new moon, or of the SABBATH days: Which are a SHADOW OF THINGS TO COME; but the body is of Christ" Collosians 2:16-17 "One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks" Romans 14:5-6 In all the verses that explains how we're saved in the NT, the sabbath is never listed. In fact, I don't think that the sabbath is even mentioned after Acts. Verse after verse after verse states that we are saved by grace through faith in Christ ALONE and not of works, laws or traditions of man. You can't say "well yeah except for keeping a law". His law is written on our hearts. I grew up thinking like you do, as my family was SDA, and in some ways I think it's why I lived in sin for most of my life because I thought I had to somehow change my life to be saved. And sorry, I can't believe in modern day prophets (EGW). Believe in and have faith in Christ's sacrifice is ALL. God bless
