*With slides and illustrations for every verse!!* In Revelation 5 we see a book with 7 seals that no one could open. What is contained in this book? Why is only the Lamb found worthy to open the book? Why does the Lamb have 7 horns and 7 eyes? What is significant about the terms "the Lion of the tribe of Judah," and "the Root of David?" Found out clear answers to all of these questions and more as we see Jesus, the Lamb of God, anointed as both king and priest at his ascension to heaven in this important chapter.

What is the abyss in Luke 8:31 ?

This is a really good question. The word "abyss" is a place of darkness and is also translated as "bottomless pit" in Revelation 20. What is interesting is the parallel account of this story in the gospel of Mark 5 and verse 10 where he records the demons asking Jesus not to send them "out of the country." I believe these 2 different accounts are saying the same thing with different words. The demons were asking Jesus not to send them away from that area and also not to send them to a place of darkness or isolation where they would have no human beings to tempt and annoy. Thanks again for your questions. These take careful Bible study to see and understand the answer. God bless. 🙏

What is hell in 2 peter 2:4 ?

Hi sister! The Greek word translated "hell" in this passage is the word "tartaroo" which simply means a place of darkness. When the angels sinned and were cast out of heaven we are told in Revelation 12 they were cast out to this dark world below. Ephesians 6:12 also echoes this thought: "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the DARKNESS of THIS WORLD, against spiritual wickedness in high places." This is the only time this Greek word is used in all of the New Testament so it is a highly unique word. God bless your study of His word, sister! 🙏
