He says he believes the number 144,000 is symbolic but I believe its not because the 144,000 will go to heaven and then come down and help Jesus on judgment day to judge the righteous and unrighteous. Those who believe the number 144,000 is symbolic because the want to believe many people are going to heaven when in fact Psalms 37:29 it says "The righteous will possess the earth, And they will live forever on it." So we weren't created to go to heaven. We were created to live on Earth forever but there are select 144,000 that will go to heaven and those 144,000 know exactly who they are so if you're guessing if you're one of the 144,000 then it's most likely you're not one. Also Revelation 7:4-8 explains exactly what tribes the 144,000 come from.

Revelation is a symbolic book, "He sent and signfied it" (Revelation 1:1). I'm still waiting for you to share the correct interpretation of this chapter.
666 was the number of a man and the Jews were told to calculate the number. They had a formula for doing so and the number always came up NERO! The mark of the beast on the forehead and hand was what you think and what you do. If you didn’t agree with Roman ideology of that day, you didn’t buy or sell. The hand represents what you do. They worshipped their idols and false gods. Dispensational teachings are dead wrong about the book of revelation. The tribulation is history, not future fact. It happened two thousand years ago not in our future. After the temple was destroyed and disobedient Israel was punished and completely judged by God, the new covenant with Jesus began. We’re to spread the gospel until every nation has the gospel. There is no rapture. The Lord will return but not before every nation has been turned to him. The number one reason he hasn’t come back is because his church is splintered for now. He’s coming back to a victorious church and not a failed church. If you’re born again, you are his.

I believe the 144,000 is a literal number, that is what I have been taught, and studied myself Ellen White says "144,000 in number" She also says to strive to be part of it, so its probably not a very big number compared to the lost at that time
Thank you for your comment, Sapphire! Although I am by no means dogmatic, there are several reasons why I believe the 144,000 is a symbolic number. First, Revelation is a symbolic book and many of the numbers are also symbolic. The only sure example I know that is not symbolic is the millennium or thousand years. The second reason I believe the 144,000 is symbolic is the description of the composition of this group. There are "exactly" 12,000 from each of the twelve tribes which while possible seems unlikely and further suggests this is a symbolic group. These are not the literal twelve tribes of Israel but symbolic and representative of different classes of people who will be saved in that special number. I do agree that whether literal or symbolic it is a very small number who will strive to be a part of this special group. By God's grace let us strive to be part of it!! If the resurrected unrighteous dead are already unrighteous and not saved, how can Satan deceive them? They cannot be saved anyway. I am not clear on that.

Hi brother! Thanks for your excellent question. You are correct that Caesar Augustus ruled for a long time. In fact, he was the longest ruling Roman emperor, ruling for about 40 years. As you are probably aware the Old Testament was written in Hebrew and the original word translated as "few" in English is a word that has several meanings obviously depending on the context. One of those meanings is simply "a certain amount" which I think would be a much better translation. In an earlier part of Daniel (chapter 4) God had already revealed to Nebuchadnezzar His sovereignty over the earth, "the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will." (Daniel 4:17) So just like Nebuchadnezzar was given power to rule for a certain period of time so also God gave Caesar Augustus a certain period of time to rule. Rare to see someone who doesn’t think the first horse is the antichrist. Revelation 9:17 “And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them,…”Revelation 9:18 “By these three was the third part of men killed,…”. No other horses in a vision are mentioned in the Bible. So it seems this connects to Revelation 6. Furthermore, white has no connection to evil in Revelation. Consider the first horse being the Holy Spirit.
