Very nicely done, brother. Your tone is probably the most Dumble-like I’ve see (heard) in demos of this pedal. Ive been considering a purchase for quite a while but the decidedly “non-Dumble” like sounds most guys seem to get out of this pedal had me thinking I should look elsewhere. You’ve single-handedly got me looking at this pedal again.
Great playing. Of all the demos I've seen so far, while this playing isn't the most technically proficient - it is the most d-type demo in both tone and style. Well done.
I agree that this is a great d-type demo in tone and style. I gotta say that I think the guy sure can play well. I don't think it's lacking in proficiency at all. : ) Sure the melody is simple. His improv is really nice. I really enjoyed listening to the whole thing.
just today I sold one Mad Prof Simble ( just one, my always on ped, still have two) and two TC EL MojoMojos( just superfluous having the Simble..., put an advert to sell th Dude V1 and the HRM,, but no: now both of them (DUDE and HRM sit on my carpet side by side, Ive abd them and compared them to and with Tomsline Dumbler and Rowin dumbler ( which are great!) but the J Rocketts just have the amplike potential (Marshally with Dumble hi end cut...) , heartily recommend both the Dude and the HRM, thr MojoMojo is more like for Fender strat enthuasists...., the Dude sounds very good, good night everyone..!
Brother!!! That sounded great. Your hands had more to do with it than the pedal. I can tell you've benn listening to session guys play 80s sitcom theme songs. Lol. I think all guitar nerds end up there eventually. That's how I ended up looking for the dumble sound. Great demo.
I just got this pedal. Sounds NOTHING like a dumbletype amp, but it's amazing anyway. Rich, not too compressed, but just enough. True low end, not a fizzy high end - it's a rare winner.
Great tone and musicianship! I don't see anyone else asking the question so I will ask - are there any spatial affects in your signal chain of this recording, reverb/delay, etc.?
Thanks Rob. I always have a TC Electronic Flashback delay and Hall of Fame reverb in the amps loop. However this doesn't really get picked up while recording. What you do hear is a little verb in mix down. I used Freeverb Too. Thanks again!!
Fantastic!! Question: which Dumble style pedal is smoother? Dude or Wiz Mini? Saw your video of that one as well. Was wondering which you thought is smoother all around? Thanks.
Thanks! Tough question. Guess it depends on your definition of smooth. They both are very smooth, not gritty. IMO the Dude has a little more compression and the Wiz is a little clearer. The Wiz is more like my Fuchs bassman mod with Robben Ford circuit tweeks. Both great pedals. Hope this helps.
Tough call as they are both sweet but different pedals. I would and probable will get the 45 as my amp is a D-style amp so that tone is covered. The 45 is more marshall flavor so it would to my tones
Thanks!!!!! I never played the ethos so not sure on that. OF the three maybe the Van Welden. Over those I would pick my Wiz mini D or my friends Dumbloid. For the Dumble tone I am talking about.

It is just a reliced parts tele that I got used. Not really into the reliced thing, I got it as it had the specs I wanted and sounded and played great.
@@physiciansassist1 Fuchs is the company. It is more of a conversion then a mod. They took a silver face bassman and stripped it but left the transformers and tube sockets. He then puts his boards in. I also have had it further tweeked by a friend who knows the Robben Ford circuit really well to get it closer to that tone. There are newer videos of just the amp OD etc.
