It was the biggest win in Michigan football history -- until maybe the next one. I just cannot stop watching the Rose Bowl highlights. Used to live in Ann Arbor more than 15 years ago, fell in love with UM football, and have continued to watch the games all the way in Suriname. Needless to say, I have also felt heartbreak, frustration, annoyance with UMich football all those years. These past 2-3 years have been unreal and I am just absolutely, gloriously joyous since Monday. Congrats UM Nation! GO BLUE 💙💙💙

Still watching replays of highlights this morning!! Yeah I probably need to get a life or hobby but man was that win gratifying as a fan! All I have to say is the team better be more focused than me because I've been feeling pretty damn high! Edit: Another thing, I haven't seen anyone mention who made the last tackle. Michigan's two d-tackles were blocked, if Derrick Moore doesn't get in there and fill that hole, Milroe is untouched right up the gut basically. Colston was out covering the flat and Barrett was covering the outside I believe. Heck of a play by Moore!!

The RBs will be huge in this game. Stay on schedule, sustain and finish drives. Defense is all about rushing 4 and keeping everything in front. Blitz on 3rd and long. They will make some plays. That’s ok. But most importantly play clean football in all 3 phases. Stay out of your own way!! This is our year this is our time. Go Blue

You do realize they blitzed more than normal with 5-6 rushers knowing Milroe was terrible on throwing to hot routes. This will be more like the 2021 Mich vs OSU game. Our smash mouth football vs the other teams accurate QB + 3 pro receivers.

Washington’s defense is ranked like 94th. We should be able to run pretty effectively & play action will be available. I think we are good to go #GoBlue

Dawg fan here. Nervous for this matchup! You might be the only team in the country built to stop Penix and the receivers. This is a great rundown. I will say that if we are looking strictly at historical stats, be cautioned - the dawgs are even better than what is on paper. For a 1/4 of the season we had: J McCmillan out, Odunze had broken ribs and still played, Penix is rumored to have broken ribs after the 1st Oregon game. That stretch is when Penix lost the heisman, but it’s because we weren’t 100%. All of these metrics, although good, still aren’t a true reflection of what the dawgs are. That said, your secondary is deep. We haven’t faced a legit nickel corner like you have. Odunze has out manned everyone he’s faced. Not sure that happens against you. If Corum can run and you can eliminate the big play, we are in trouble. Good luck!

It's such an awesome win not only because UM won, but because Saban lost. I hate Dick Saban and seeing him lose was priceless. Very disapointed Dick didn't give more praise to UM, instead deflected all of it saying they beat themselves. Anyways, looks like Sabans reign is coming to an end. Go Blue!

It was insane Monday I am still riding high. I missed the whole third quarter because I got my son chicken tenders. When we walked back in the stadium Mr Brightside came on. And that got the crowd going. Greatest atmosphere uploaded and amateur video of it. Damn chicken tenders. Well worth it. 😂

We pretty much just did to them what they did to Georgia in 2018. Tied it up late in the 4th from a 20-13 deficit and only needed two offensive plays in OT to finish tearing out their hearts. Over the past 3 years this team has shown me so many things I've never seen before in my lifetime. Conference championships, blowing out Ohio State, closing out a narrow one over Ohio State. But coming out with a victory in the Granddaddy after Saban's Crimson Tide had them on the ropes? I still can't process it. What CAN'T this team do?

Ah I’m so nervous ! Such a unique matchup . Gotta start fast and not let washingtok dictate this thing into a shootout right away like tcu did last year . They always make a lot of mistakes after that month off but hopefully they got them all out of their system last week . Amazing season regardless but bring it home !!! One more

Proud of the boys the way they overcame multiple MAJOR errors...almost JJ interception, fumbled punts x2, missed tackle on Bama TD run, missed extra point & FG miss....and they still pulled it out. OMG. Penix will get his yards but need to limit his long darts. He had way too much time vs. TX to search the field for the BEST group of receivers UM will face in the last 5 years. They resemble past Ohio teams with excellent passing offense & average defense. UM wins limiting passing game, controlling the clock with running game; & no special team errors.

This is essentially our more perfected version of our 2021 match against OSU a better opposing QB and slightly better Wrs than OSU had back then. We won that one with a fledgling version of the defensive system that we have now. I think we can beat them. Will Penix do his thing, more than likely, but we have the blueprint already. Go Blue

Washington played ASU and struggled. ASU plays a similar style defense to Michigan. Big throws from Penix are also going to make it interesting with our S and CBs

M’s pass rush could be trouble for Penix, and W’s less than stellar D-line could allow M to get back to possession football, and do the old boa-constrictor routine. I like Michigan’s chances to win the Natty.

Michigan will be able to sustain drives, and consequently use the clock and limit possessions for Washington. Turnovers will be a key: limited possessions.

Yards don't win ball games. OSU had huge amounts of Pass Yds in '21 & '22 and lost by 2 scores. I'm more worried about big plays ... which we have controlled all yr. Especially against Bama which is their offense. I am confident

@@blucaptain thought Yards were exactly how you win games and unless something changed time of pozsestiion is the most valuable star to fight ovet!!! And time of pisession is gained by yardage per play and not looking to catch lightning in bottle with 4play drives that coveting the whole field and then give it back to the opponent who looks at your 40second miracle as no more than perfect opportunity to grind out another 10mintes if possesion and look at a field goal as success but if not their plan is to pin you ever closer to your end of field by kicking it their on 4rth down while your content to keep giving it back a minute later until your down 17 to 7 deep in game and now need lightning in a hurry and from your own 2 and go shotgun evry down and we pick you off to ice game

This is the perfect match up for Michigan. UM will run the ball and own the clock, in turn it will limit possessions for Washington and keep the defense fresh. They rotate damn near the entire Michigan roster. This will make things really difficult for the Huskies and will wear them down, where eventually they’ll give up big plays and break their will to win.

I think UMs secondary can handle UWs passing attack. (Please note I didn't say "stop dead", I said "handle") I think UMs D-Line and UWs O-Line are just about equal. I believe this game will come down to how well UW can handle the UM run game.

When UM’s offense is controlling the ball against Washington’s defense then their offense will be watching the game from the sideline. And that should be the game plan to keep the Huskies off the field.

I haven’t seen anybody mention this and it’s really surprising to me. Washington has not played a top-60 passing defense all year long. Michigan’s #2 passing defense will shut them down. 38-28 wolverines

Look at the total team stats for both teams. I'm tired of Michigan fans talking about defense. Washington and Michigan has even matched defenses. Washington has more total tackles and pass defense, Michigan wins the sack game and both are the same on interceptions. Washington has a better pass defense. 64 passes defended by Washington and 49 by Michigan, 1584 Michigan team tackles to 1790 for Washington. Where yall get #2 pass defense? Washington rushes more effectively while Michigan runs it more. Only 6 scores separate rushing offense and Dillon Johnson has more rush yards with fewer carriers than Corum. Yall wouldn't know that listening to biased ESPN and sportscasters. 36 Washington 28 Michigan. Michigan barely beat a team texas beat by 10 at Alabama and Washington beat by 6. Michigan will get beat worse than oregon and texas got beat by Washington.

Michigan needs to control TOP. Score TDs and trade for FGs. Red zone defense will determine the outcome as Penix will get his passing yards but limit big plays and TDs.

No disrespect to Washington but Alabama was a tougher matchup for Michigan. Their style was of play and defense made it a difficult win. Michigan will certainly score more against Washington. And Corum may have a big day. So the key to the game for Michigan is stopping Penix. If Michigan holds Washington to mid 20s then they will win this game. Michigan 38-24

Michigan may have better stats across the board than Washington but they had better stats than TCU last year and we witnessed how that game turned out. With that being said, he made a very good point in that michigan faced a potent offense last year with osu and cj stroud and kept that offense I'm front of them. And osu statistically were better defensively across the board than Washington. I think minter will have these boys ready

No comparison. No run game vs TCU Corum was out, Edwards at 50% with broken hand (no receiving threat) and bum knee (no jump cuts to get outside). Mullins playing Lb only until Illinois injured Corum in game 11. On defense, a depleted Lb room that forced us to play youngsters VS a mobile 5th year senior. Still scored 45, despite 2 pick sixes, 2 goal line fumbles and a TD stolen by the review crew. 42 UM, 27 Washington.

Michigan needs to be imaginative when on offense and score as much as possible. Our defense is great, but Washington will get its scores, so the our offense needs to help.

From my side of bench I'm looking at premium moment in any sport when a team somehow goes unnoticed while amasaing the best resume in sport and nobody sees what's been right in front of them until Washington knock off michegan in final game and finaly evrybody acknowledges this is the best team in sport all year as if it's obvious!! Then why did the get double digits in Oregon game then let go at 8 to 1 to win a four team tournament and then get 5 in final game? Yet suddenly would be touchdown favorites to anyone in country at a neutral site if another game was played that was not the title game yet if it were the title game they would still get points? A game is a game and the fact that a game is labeled as a playoff game or title game changes absòlutly nothing, its the same game and same players playing the same game they did all year while going unbeaten in the most competitive conference on earth!!!
