I think it's because it looks like he's reading off a prompter, the fact that everyone onstage can see it, and most likely the crowd could also notice it but were told to ignore all that Hollywood stuff. Or I'm wrong.

Finishing the divorce process within the next couple months and even though I can't see it in her words and actions, I am hoping for that outcome for our daughter's sake.
