"It's Weird that Betty White can Die at almost a Hundred and it feels like she Died too Soon" - Ryan Reynolds. I totally agree. I don't think I wrote it verbatim but It really felt that way
My friends great grandmother died at 103 and her aunt said ‘she was 103 but she died too soon.. I still need her’ and I have never forgotten it. It’s a beautifully tragic sentiment
I love how each of them has such a distinct iconic trademark style. Joan is straight up ferocious and her mind works so fast that you can’t even catch up but just laugh speechlessly. Betty plays up the sweet old lady and delivers unexpected zingers.
@@LuisVilaMX She’s just blunt, and how straight faced she is almost betrays how clever her jokes are. You would think she was just straight up roasting you (which she is) but it leaves you thinking because there’s almost always a second meaning or another zinger coming right behind the first.
her best joke was when she called Robin a mudslide lol. But I think the best joke of the whole roast was when Gilbert told the story of Joan slithering her way back to the drain pipe or somethingXD
The way Joan Rivers drank those glasses of beverage before throwing them behind HER OWN BACK and SLAPPING Kathy Griffin, was JUST EPIC, and FLAWLESS. Oh my, she sure is a ICONIC LEGEND.
Cloris really made the most out of her appearance! Betty killed them clean. Joan, slapped Kathy, insulted everyone then shamelessly self promoted...perfection.
Joan and Cloris completely destroyed the stage, blunt force trauma, but Betty really showed the craft, the delivery, timing, rhythm, pausation. It was like watching a Kung Fu master showing how much you have to learn.
Cloris died at the beginning of 2021 and Betty died at the end of 2021, and as a result, now all members of both Golden Girls and The Mary Tyler Moore Show are all gone
By far, one of my all-time favorite roasts was Betty White saying, "We all know [William] Shatner's nuts... but George [Takei] has actually _tasted_ them!"
In memory of: Betty White (January 17, 1922 - December 31, 2021) Cloris Leachman (April 30, 1926 - January 27, 2021) Joan Rivers (June 8, 1933 - September 4, 2014)
I love Nichelle's reaction to Betty's joke at the beginning of her set. You can't tell it took a second for that one to set in 🤣 But her reaction was perfect.
As a non-American, I really only knew Cloris from Raising Hope. It was only when I saw a post about her passing that I realised how much she had done. I hadn't seen her do that roast before - that was hilarious.
Gavin Macleod, Chloris Leachman, Norm, Betty White and Bob Sagat all died within the span of a year. I think God's setting up a roast for Jerry Seinfeld.
Just hearing Mrs White's voice gives me goosebumps. I was definitely a fan. She was like the grandma everyone should have had in their house. Funny and giving off an amazing vibe. She will be missed.💯❤️
The worst part of this is not only are all three ladies gone, but many of the people in the audience and on stage are no longer with us. We truly were lucky to have them all.
As I watched all of this, it brought tears to my eyes. It wasn't just the laughs, but all the great comics that have passed on. Leachman is fantastic! Killed a part of me when she left. And another one when White died. But, Saget, McDonald, Godfrey, and many more have left such a mark on many of us.
@@blancavelasquez9859 Joans daughter said in an interview that her mother would have definitely voted for Hillary and she would have mocked Trump's presidency. I'm aware that they were friends at one time. Just like Trump and Epstein were friends.
I'm so grateful for RU-vid. These legendary ladies will live on forever through this venue. There just aren't comics like this these days. A peek into a much simpler and happier past....
These three are the epitome of legendary comedians. Joan could take you to the very edge of the line between offended and amused endlessly, Betty could work blue in ways you wouldn’t expect from her but you should given her characters before Golden Girls. Cloris was a gem that could just hit anything you gave her ten times harder back and leave you speechless 😂
Joan Rivers didn't just make people laugh with her jokes, she infuriated many and offended dozens, endangering her life, she was a courageous, one-of-a-kind, outrageous comedian who wasn't afraid to speak her mind.
@@flipmode7 I think one of Joan's hallmarks was coming up with the best descriptive nouns that were all at once apt, savage, and hysterical. "Mudslide" is chef's kiss.
It's non stop laughing. I had to rewind several times because I was so out of control. OMID, watching genius comedians before bed is like a workout for the soul.
Goodness ......this almost makes me cry more than laugh......Bob, Betty, Joan, Cloris, Gilbert, Norm....heartbreaking but Legends - epic GOATS!!!!! so proud my generation had the best!!!!💔💝💝💝
This made me miss all 3 women even more. Joan's killer takes, Betty being sweet then giving a combo that's sure to knock you out, and Cloris just nailing punch after punch. These women are such a step above Sarah Silverman, Whitney Cummings or Nikki Glaser. They don't make'em like they use to.
This is so bittersweet to watch, it came up in my recommendations and here I am crying a bit. So many powerhouses in the audience lost, this roast is/was epic! RIP Bob Saget, Cloris Leachman, Nichelle Nichols, Farrah Fawcett, Alan Thicke, Joan Rivers and the one and only Ms. Betty White 😪🕊
I'm 69 years old now and I remember in high school watching Joan Rivers do standup comedy. She was hilarious and was throughout her whole career. I also loved her on Fashion Police. Because of Joan is the only reason I watched it. I also want to say I think Kathy Griffin is another great standup comic. She could talk all night and all I could do was laugh nonstop.
that’s so cool :) i’m about 40 years younger than you and it’s so wild to me to think that comedians like joan rivers have had such an impact that they could influence both of our age groups. she inspired my own standup style. i first saw her on fashion police and then learned she was a comedian later. i’m glad youtube exists so i can watch old stand up performances since i caught on to her and many other legendary comedians’ standup late haha.
