Damn, that's some LiveOverflow story-telling level merged with concise, interesting and dynamic explanations of mobile reversing basics, absolutely love it! Helped me a lot, thanks :)
This is great bro! For some reason when I replaced the hash with one I generated it didn't work, not sure what I did wrong.. Instead I reversed the condition so that *any* password except the correct password would work 😆
Glad to see your comment CryptoCat! At the very beginning I had the same problem, then I realized I was generating an md5 hash containing a new-line (I was just using echo but not the -n flag... lol). However your solution is smart ahah Well done!
@@0xbro I'm not sure what I did wrong because I went and cracked the hash after on hashtoolkit or crackstation or something and it was definitely correct 🤔 oh well.. a flag is a flag! 😁
You are videos are very interesting, Even when I couldn't complete the challenge from your lessons, still it motivated me to learn and find the solutions..
Thanks for the feedback and the suggestion! At the moment I'm listing inside my blog all the used tool for every challenge (eg. for this challenge the link is the following one: maoutis.github.io/writeups/Android%20Hacking/Reverse%20and%20patch%20an%20easy%20APK/), however for the next videos I think I will follow your suggestion by making a summary of the tools used and their purpose (either during the video, or in the description, I still have to figure out which is better). Anyway thank you very much!
5:52 let’s hope it works 😂 Seriously, though, dealing with computers there’s as much “know-how” as there is “hope that it works” :D Regardless, useful video, thanks
