Bought a NOS eink screen, realized that the seller doesn't have any datasheet. Had to reverse engineer it.
Code for the screen: github.com/zephray/driving-lc...
Good reference for working with BWR eink screens: dmitry.gr/?r=05.Projects&proj...

This is amazing, I don't know how you have so much follow-through, I would've given up after 1h and moved on to the next thing that I would give up on after 1h.

I would definitely enjoy a video on how to operate an Eink display. As far as the LUTs go and what not.

Nice work! I would never have thought to measure the chip to find it, great tip!

Hey, really cool project, and smart measuring the chip to try figure out what it is! I've recently been looking into hacking eink screens too, so it's nice to see what others have done already in this area :D By the way, I'm curious where you got this looooong eink screen from. It looks interesting.

It's awesome to see the full `reverse engineering -> actual usage` process so masterfully executed!

Those long screens look unusual and could make for nice art on your walls. Great video.

amazing work, I try to do things like this on a smaller scale sometimes but it's unclear where the background knowledge lies for the EE/hw side of things for me!

thanks! great example! make a video about LUT reversing, would be useful content.

Really cool to see how you figured this out! How did you figure out the format for the LUTs? Was that in the data sheet?

No unfortunately they are not in the datasheet. When I first started hacking these Eink screens a few years back, I was able to basically figure out by trial and error (modify the LUT and see what happens on the screen). I also linked dmitry.gr's page in the description which provides a nice detailed write up if you are interested.

Hello, I would need to create a project with these screens, to be able to send them images via Bluetooth, is it possible? Are you available to do it?

Are you still building out the Modos laptop?
