I think what really makes this moment so terrifying for Eobard, isn't just that he can't run, he can't use the Speed Force period. Speedsters like Flash seem to be able to use the SF to speed up their perception of time, separate from when they're running, so even when standing still, everything is moving at such a slow pace they can react to incoming attacks. But I'm pretty sure that what they're saying here, is even that would be enough for Black Flash to sense him. At 2:22, BF could have suddenly attacked him at any moment while running by, and he had no way of reacting. He has to let something that is dead set on killing him run circles around him without trying to watch it.

I freaking loved Matt Letscher in The Mask of Zorro. He deserves more time as Eobard. No offense to Tom Cavanaugh, but I'm getting rather tired of the whispering gravely voice that never changes between Wells variants.

Like, at least Matt Letscher can up his vocal octave. Again, no offense to Tom Cavanaugh, but I can't tell which version of Wells you can trust anymore with that whisper voice, especially when one version, Nash Wells/Pariah nearly caused the end of reality by awakening the Anti-Monitor

@JoJo Dawn nop, that's something the writters came up with years later after this, so yeah, the reason Is the one the guy above explained. Also the negative speedforce making you inmune to time changes Is a whole messed up from the writters cause it invalidates all legends season 2 plot AND flash season 1 ending, cuz then Eobard should've never been erased or chased by the black flash if he doesn't *suffer* from the changes that Eddie killing himself represents.

And when Barry defeated zoom the soeedforce ghosts or what they are called ended him and used him to protect the speedforce and kill everything that broke the rules like eobard did and then zoom became black flash

This is the type of theory you only test when you're out of options. As someone else said too, he's just straight up terrified of him, he's not going to be at the top of his mental game. Even then, the Black Flash knew he was there in that general location, it was only a matter of time. Without Malcom and Damien there, and that bank vault being directly in front of him, he'd be a goner. That's also why he ran in the last episode, because there was nothing else he could do but run.

It knew he was standing there, it'd have gotten him eventually without the interference of Malcolm and Damien like Harper said Plus Eobard says "he won't be trapped for long" so it'd have been pointless anyway to try and come up with a temporary (possibly failed) solution for something that's non living non resting and is backed up by a cosmic force that exists across the time-line and multiverse and is literally attracted to your own Power Plus human survival instinct and fear don't help AND it's a natural instinct for a speedster to run... It's addictive to them.. It feels _Alive_

Yes, I suppose you could argue that the Speed Force exists outside the natural flow of time as we perceive it, so one could appear before the other, but the more likely scenario is that they're just manifestations of the Speed Force, not dead speedsters or speedsters killed by the Black Flash.

Barry had the same problem with Captain Cold and Heatwave the first time they teamed up. It took a few minutes of going faster not working for Barry to think of going *slower,* which ended up working.

hans jsjs zoom turned into black flash when the time wraiths took him away and due to thawne supposed to have died however Barry pulled him from the timeline making a time remnant he can run like dahrk said comparing him to a shark but if he stands still when his beeper goes off (happened when he was about to kill vixen) black flash will kill him and black flash is more like death so reverse flash can't really do anything but outsmart him because black flash is part of the speed force.

They THEORIZE it can't sense a speedster not using speed force. Using their EXPERIENCE with speedsters, they draw it in, distract it with projectiles, then reverse can punch it into a vault. I mean, you don't need a PhD to figure it out.

Flash certainly can see with his eyes, so why did they think it can't see them? Just accepting it for what it is instead of actually using your brain.

What makes you think a literal zombie, created for the sole purpose of hunting speedsters, is going to have 20/20 vision? And again, for the fourth or fifth time, they had EXPERIENCE with speedsters. You are acting like 2 random guys who have never heard of or seen a speedster are suddenly experts in everything related to the speed force. Obviously, that is not the case. They had about 30 seconds to come up with a plan. The black flash was already there. What do you expect them to do? Go to the local library to research speedsters, take a college course on it, and then enact a plan? Can't believe this has to be explained at all. A five year old should be able to understand it.
