In my whole life , I have never commented on any RU-vid video. But Amit , I swear you made me to do this.. Really telling you... I have never experienced the life , the culture , the struggles of 80's because at that time, I was not in this world . But now I can say that "People were really fabulous and extreme hard working in 80's or you can say in past " Hats off - Rini Mam and Shammi Sir . Thank you

Everybody loves them !!!.. The command they held on the language was exemplary.. I am a South Indian and I learnt Hindi and English at a very young age, thanks majorly to DD news !!.. TVs have changed, news too changed, but these guys will live in our hearts forever !!!..

Hi Amit, Thank you 😊 for this show about DD news anchors. It was a Goosebumps moment when they said they received their pay check written with on behalf of president of India . Never new broadcasters also had fans. And also good to know that all over India metro voice and most of the monumental voice guide is given by them.

Delhi Metro was a revelation....... Wow. I just envy the life experiences these people have gone through. Those times were simple. really miss that. Thanks Amit for reviving the nostalgia

Yes !!! television journalism was really challenging at that point of time when jounalists like Rini ji and Shami ji were active but still they are legendry and the still prooved to be the best

Nostalgic..wonderful interview with beautiful people

Well done.. So well done.. When I think of 80s and early 90s.. I being an early 90s kid, I still experience that long lost feeling when I listen to old DD news opening jingles. Something unique and special about that time. I believe it was the mix of modernity slowly making its way through a society which was still for the most part in 60s in its mentality and day to day culture and life. So television, it became that carrier of modernity and the early news anchors the icons of that slow change which was waking up in the Indian society.

Amit... A huge thank you for giving a glimpse of our childhood.... Rini Simon and the other newsreaders were a significant part of our childhood... It was very sweet of Rini Simon to mention Neeti Ravindran.... Old memories rather golden memories

both the anchors are wonderful persons I never saw them read news (perform) but looks like they are topmost in there job.

i did not get a chance to see these people reading news bcz i was not there in 80s i m 1996 born Nd also for a long time we did not have television at our homes .. so could not watch these great people Rimi mam Nd shammi sir reading news.. but i really want to see them now.. can anyone tell me are there any video clips available to see how they used to read..
