I used to feel the same way, but when you're engaged in these "games" with a woman it can be quite fun and amusing. They also draw you closer together if you don't take it too seriously, live in the moment, and go with the flow.

I guess there must be people that are probably born with or these and those tactics come naturally to them. Like walking in the park, a no brainer...Lucky them!!! WHOEVER they are??? However if people, a male and female or couple are extremely compatible, whatever they BOTH do will seemingly be very attractive and perfect to each other. Like hydrogen and oxygen molecules, water is always in motion never at rest, yet the hydrogen and oxygen always attached at the molecular level. There lies the dynamic in human attraction as well. At a point the saying Love is blind and in the eye of the beholder may ring true, however there may be a lot more deeper esoteric meaning than that...

Ah, playing the long game, maybe my most costly mistake on the road to engagement with no wedding. In case I ever come across as harsh on my ex, I myself made some mistakes that contributed to the downfall, I admit it. What she did wasn’t helpful but I am not off the hook at all. This worst mistake was falling too hard too fast, the first kiss timing was alright but the personal physical touch (think below neck and between shoulders) and the “L” word happened way too soon and I shouldn’t have done that so quickly. My then-GF should have told me to cool it, but she didn’t. If nothing else, I’ll know to be more patient, follow Anna’s advice and play the long game next time, should there be one.

The mystery one is a tactic I use in lots of areas of life. I go to a tanning salon a couple times a week. Sometimes they try to make small talk while I wait for a bed to open. And depending the topic I will share info, or else tell them "I don't know you well enough to discuss." Sure enough, weeks later they become more and more chatty. Holding your cards close to your chest, as we say.
