This is my method for the best way to cook a steak on the Big Green Egg.
Step 1: Prep your meat
Step 2: Set up you BGE with Platesetter, target temp 225ºF-250ºF
Step 3: Cook steak until you reach internal temp of upper 90º's-100ºF
Step 4: Remove steak, wrap in foil, set to the side
Step 5: Remove Platesetter, open both vents to bring up temp to "Flame Thrower" status, 500ºF-600ºF plus, careful it's hot.
Step 6: Place steak on grate, turn at 30 seconds, flip at 1 minute, turn again at 30 seconds.
Step 6b: Add melted butter along the way
Step 7: Remove steak, add rest of butter, cover in foil and let rest for 10 minutes.
Step 8: Enjoy.
