You have clearly done this once or twice before, I'm officially impressed. I drive a regular truck with the same kind of trailer as your B trailer, and only two axles in the dolly. I would never have been able to do it that easily with a B-Double.

Nice work 👌 Slow, steady, precise... The short cabover certainly helps too 😊 Doing the same thing over and over in the same yards helps, but making it an artform is something that not many can do ! Its nice to see operators taking pride in their abilities 😊 From another fellow b double operator of 25 years from general freight to tippers, Well done mate 👏

Brilliant skill there 👍🏻. I drive for Aldi in the UK and the reverses onto the bays at stores are ridiculous. They're mostly in busy car parks and often have to be done at dodgy angles on the blindside 🤦🏻‍♂️
@vigbrastle
@vigbrastle 2 года назад
I don't drive for Aldi anymore but I do remember we had a few of those, there were some funny ones, usually in older/existing buildings or large shopping centres. Freestanding designed stores typically were ok. Had a workmate there from London actually, told me all about it. Not a place I envy to drive I think, In particular those narrow rural roads where trucks basically have to stop to pass eachother.

There are some people who catch on quick and can do this easily every time and will be able to forever….I am not one of those people lol. I have and can back up B-trains but for me it’s something I have to do consistently to remain good at it. When I go months without driving the trains my reverse skills diminish quickly lol That was impressive no doubt. It’s most impressive when there are trailers in docks on both sides of the one you need. I will admit when I encounter this, I split them lol

@@vigbrastle Some people just have a knack for it. Like I said I can do it but it’s something I have to do consistently to be good at it. When I go months without hauling trains I have difficulty getting it done easily. I’ve never been good enough to think about making the attempt with trailers on both sides of the dock I needed. I have worked with at least one guy who could. That takes a special skill. I think any truck driver could get the hang of it with some practice
