Review: 2016 Lincoln MKX 2.7 FWD 

Great review Matt. Looks like a lot of people are complaining about the non-enthusiast cars but I still like watching these reviews! Don't let the comments get to you and keep up the great work!

Wow, that 2.7 has some power! Didn't really care for the engine at first until this video. Can't wait until the Fusion gets the 2.7

Huh, didn't think I'd find myself liking a Lincoln SUV/Crossover, but this thing is pretty dope. I love most of what Ford does now days, and it seems like they're finally spending money and taking Lincoln seriously again, good to see. Also that rolling burnout was awesome! Serious torque there haha.

Another good review. You pretty much had the same takeaways I did when I was test driving the mkx with the 2.7. I really wanted to get one but ended up with the 2015 edge sport. One thing to note, I believe the sensitivity of the lane keep assist is adjustable

I had a couple 2016 MKXs while my Fusion was in the shop (thank you enterprise for being out of fords), and they were easily my favorites. Though they only had the 3.7 NAV6 AWD. I typically don't care for black upper and lower colors, but it still managed to feel airy enough without a sunroof. I agree with the sentiment of it leans then sticks in corners. It really was a fun car to drive.

Our family has the Navigator, and it kinda sorta has the same styling cues as this, and we love it! And the engine is amazing!

Well done. Very informative. I'm leaning towards the MKX but also like the Edge. I want the 2.7 turbo but on the ford you have to get the sport's black-only interior. Question for you: it seems the MKX rides really well...I'm looking for good ride and great handling as well. I know you said the Edge Sport handles a bit better, but is it a significant difference and how much of the good ride and low noise do you give up with the Edge over the MKX? (Ok, that was really two questions. ). Thanks

All these companies promote these intelligent systems (BSM, Lane assist, high beams, etc) but after owning one and now having all of it gone, its so refreshing not having to deal with it and just pay attention. Its all very expensive too. I just dread the day that it all comes standard and I have to spend minutes turning it all off every time I start my car.

That intro makes me feel like I'm about to watch a 12,000 HP triple-turbo Supra jizz through an exploding skyscraper into a cargo plane. And then we get like EDM Kenny G and a rich mom's crossover. Maybe have a couple different intros that relate more directly to the car you're reviewing... just a suggestion ;D

All these people getting so critical, you could review a dingy for all I care, I'd still watch it!

Seems like a nice SUV. They are aggressively marketing Lincoln's and making some significant changes from the old style which is an improvement. I'd definitely cross shop if I was in the market for a small SUV.

We live in an age were SUV hit 0-60 as fast as most 90s sports cars ...crazy..

shame, for being fords only luxury brand its on par with Buick but not so much cadillac. this has a way to go before it can hold a candle to cadillac

Why did the give you one with FWD. The AWD system in this car is actually pretty good. It also comes bundled with the adaptive suspension. Elevates this car to a much better level. Suprised the dealer that lent you the car would send you out without that. Also confused that they gave you one that had the old myfordtouch. Later production models got sync 3 which is a Gigantic improvement.

more of a Buick / Acura competitor than a cadillac / Lexus competitor, ford needs to work in their material quality, unique switch gear, and interior architectures more to help differentiate them from the ford versions just like Audi and Cadillac have done with their VW / GM based luxury cars. with the Continental coming this may be the turning point for Lincoln but the MKZ, MKC, and MKX are still a ways behind Cadillac Or Lexus....

This was a disappointing review. At first I was excited cause I really wanted Matt's opinions, but there was too much baggage about comparing this car to other Ford's rather than its own competition. I wouldn't be shopping this car and flipping a coin between it and the Ford Edge, but am looking at it compared to the MDX, the Lexus, the BMW, and the new Caddy. The review seemed fixated on the Edge and the Explorer. I love watching Matt's videos and enjoy the reviews, supported him financially before and would do it again in a heartbeat. This was a disappointing waste of an opportunity with a really cool car in hand. There are other reviews on this car that place it really high above its competition and I trust Matt's opinion to have wanted him to qualify the other stuff I saw. Never happened. No, I did not give it a thumbs down, I would never do that to someone that seems like a friend!

I've watched hundred of your videos and for the sake of giving constructive criticism I believe the quality of your videos and the cars in them have gone down slightly. I prefer the old intro, not the new video game-y one, and cars that will get your heart beating, not a basic suv that has the same chasis as a Ford, and the music that distracts from the focus of the video. love your channel just miss the older way of reviews.
