[REVIEW] 2020 Nerf HALO MA40 Blaster - Unboxing, Firing Test, Chrono & Giveaway!

This is my unboxing and review of the new 2020 Nerf HALO MA40 Blaster from Hasbro. This blaster was first shown here on my channel at the New York Toy Fair back in February, and now I finally have my hands on a functional, retail version. This blaster costs $49.99 in the US and is available from a variety of online retailers.
This semi-auto blaster takes 4 C batteries to operate (not included) and includes 10 darts plus a digital download for Halo Infinite.

HALO everybody how are you guys doing, I’m not trying to REACH for the blaster I’m just pleased 2 see this gun I do genuinely love halo and the blaster looks really good from even excluding the ammo counter even though it does nothing, it’s the details. Okay I leave now

Last video I said they haven't sent you the Halo MA40 yet and when I saw this video, I was like "Holy cow, they sent you one already?!" Slightly disappointed that wasn't the case, lol , but still very thankful that you went out of your way to buy one just to review.

Kinda hurts seeing the counter so high on the gun, the ammo counter was ment to be the base piece on the gun, the riser I'm 99% sure is manly if you wanted to add a different scopes or sights (or the counter if you wanted) So when I get the riser piece with it ima just put it to the side

I have a friend that would love to get that blaster. He plans on buying it once it drops. He actually commissioned a person to combine a Rayven and the Boomco MA40 for Endwar. Unfortunately, the blaster is nothing more than a paperweight and cosplay prop right now.

Been a HALO fan since I was 6 years old with HALO 2. Now It's 2020 and I'm still enjoy the series alongside my newfound Nerf hobby 💙 I will definitely hope to get my hands on it, even if I have to cover shipping (no issue there I can afford that). To this day I still log in hours across all the titles. But still, congrats to the winner of this beauty when they're announced!

I think any fan of the Halo series would love to have one, and unlike the Elite 2.0 series of Nerf blasters, I've heard from other review videos that isn't glued or clipped, so I think modders are gonna have a field day with this one

I only just got into Halo for the first time when I got the MCC for my 18th birthday, holy cats did it live up to my friends' hype and this blaster seems to do it justice! Just bought the nexus pro but once the wallet recovers this is a buy on sight. I'd take one for my crazy friend who's been playing Halo CE since he was 6!

As a specification, the fake ammo counter is meant to go on without the raiser and the raiser is intended for other attachments

As i understand it, the "intent" is for the ammo counter to go straight onto the blaster to make it look like it does in the game - it's a lot closer without it. And then the riser piece is to make it compatible with other nerf scopes, so you can see over the front hump.

Hi Jared! Great review; super informative and nuanced! I'm not very invested in the modding community (time, money, and competitive foam-flingers are surprisingly hard to find!), but I think it's a super cool side of the hobby, and I'd love to explore it at some point. As for the MA40, it looks great, and its performance isn't bad, by any means, but it might be more a piece for Halo fans/cosplayers. To that end, it's a top-notch blaster.

Now this is what I’ve been waiting on. This blaster looks AMAZING! I’m a little bummed that it’s not select fire, but there’s a lot of space for mods here. Honestly, the fact that I can’t use drums isn’t a dealbreaker, because shouldering a bullpup with a big 25-50 round drum CANT be comfortable. But it’s a cool blaster that I’m so happy is out. I’m a fan of the Web Series Red Vs Blue, which is primarily why I want this blaster. No need to bother with anyone else, I’m exactly the home this blaster needs, lol. Of course whoever gets it will be excited, and as long as someone’s happy, I’m happy. Of course I’ll be a lot happier if I win.

Hi Jared, It would be so awesome to get the MA40. I first saw this in your "first look" and I immediately decided I wanted it. I never bought the boomco blasters as they looked pretty bad and then came this beast. I was devastated when I found out Australia won't get this and it would be so awesome if I could win this or get some money to import one. Thanks for this opportunity Jared

That looks sooo good! I could even use the riser for Modulus blasters! It even uses C batteries instead of D batteries! All this AND it’s the halo ar! I just played all the games (but not 4+5 yet)! The only ones I didn’t play were the D&B Halo and the Halo Wars titles! I did play the top down versions, which were better than expected! I think it would look good with the banana mag. I feel a little bad asking this, but I would love to enter a giveaway.

I'm super excited to try to get my hands on this blaster. I loved the look of the old boomco one but hated pumping up the air tank and the small ammo clip system it used. Hopefully this sells well for more halo blasters down the line I want them all :)

That extra rail attachment i think is for scopes and stuff because in the game the amo counter is lower
