The Stif Squatch is a full aggro 29” hardtail that eats descents for breakfast while getting you back to the top efficiently and comfortably. Its fairly extreme focus means it's not quite as comfortable over flat trails, but for winch-and-plummet fun it's fantastic.

Now that was a really thorough review. There's really only six non bespoke bikes in this catagory. On On'es Hellow Dave, Marin El Roy, Stanton Switch 9er, Cotic's BFE Max and Pipedream's Moxie. Only the last has gone ultra low BB so is a direct comparison. I was thinking of stripping all the parts off my Big Dog but wondered if the Squatch was too single focus, and it is..... This a far better review than the current MBR one

@@offroadcc I'd forgotten Kona's new Honzo. Probably as as close as a major brand is going to get. Me well I get peddle strike with a BB height 22mm higher. Having very long legs for my less than average height I prefer 175 cranks. I really like the diversification within the UK hardtail market. Far more choice

I made the experience putting a 140mm fork makes it more suitable for flat trails! I use a 35-40mm stem,and two tokens on the 140pike. Try it and love it!!
