Alfie Beddoe who says there has to be just one dominant brand? That’s called a monopoly, and it’s never good for business. Like look at cars or computers or appliances, there’s multiple top brands competing to make better and cheaper products. The fact that there is just ones main company for blasters is weird and not normal, DZ isn’t going to replace nerf it’s just gonna break down their monopoly

Yeah, somehow Dart Zone decided to murder Nerf. I hope this makes Hasbro change their ways, but other than that, what they offer this year is really not competitive anymore.

The Spectrum is hitting Rival-level numbers, coming into 100 FPS territory. Dethroning the Stryfe (if "only" by stock performance) is big. You can make the case that using 4 batteries is better than needing 6; but that's a pretty small trade-off for Rival-grade performance from a dart blaster.
@@josephisaguy from what I remember, he was sick for a while and the medication/treatment he was getting caused a long hiatus and weight gain, but since then he's been looking more and more like his old self as well as uploading more frequently
Maybe the accessories and mods are much more numerous for the Stryfe because the Stryfe has been out since 2013, and the Spectrum isn't even available online at walmart yet as of today?
Alexi P-L it’s definitely possible, but because stryfe has been so popular for so long there are already a TON of third party components. Like I can’t go out and buy an upgraded flywheel cage for their blaster, but you have the choice of dozens for a stryfe
@@willw5868 Almost every flywheeler out has 3-d printed cage available on Thingiverse within weeks of release and I suspect this one will have machined/injection molded ones made as well bc its gonna be so popular (especially with the flop that is elite 2.0 and the phoenix) but that will take some time ofc.
Alex Marin True, but the 3d printed ones are not accessible to everyone and less reliable. And yeah hopefully we will get a bunch of after market stuff, but in any case it would take a long time to catch up to the strifes after market game
nerf...keeping FPS low and safe, but makes more "weapon" looking blasters. Dart zone, makes them shoot hard, but most looks like cheap scifi cosplay weapons. Kinda odd right? Imagine if nerf aesthetics were combined with dart zone performance.

The only thing that keeps this gun from the right look is the color, which is easy enough to fix, and that barrel, which is pretty much the trademark look of Dart Zone guns these days
Dart Zone might just out pass Nerf at this point. They're consistently dropping banger blasters, and for around half the price. And Nerf's price points are still egregious.
ive been getting some adventure force blasters (my favorite is the enforcer, but thats cuz i dont have this) and ive noticed a trend where most adventure force blasters take 6 AA, instead of nerf's 4 AA, which ups the performance automatically. Its also unfortunate because a few monthes ago i bought my friend a MODULUS stryfe for his birthday, telling him its one of the best, and in a maniacal way im excited to send him this vid >:D
its not that simple. The cage and internals are not compatible. You're better off just taking the locks out of the stryfe and upgrading with better motors, lipo, new switch etc. On a side note, the spectrum is upgrade-able as well. There already exists a replacement cage, so solder up some better motors, a switch, and an xt60 and you're good to go.

I’m astonished how Dart zone/Adventure force comes out of nowhere and takes the spotlight from Hasbro and makes it clear how good it’s products are and how much cheaper they are compared to Nerf.

anyone notice any patterns here nerf is trying and failing to re release their most popular blasters with elite 2.0 and dart zone is doing the same thing but actually doing a good job
Oh boy. Was about to buy a Stryfe when this video dropped and boy am I glad I waited. Absolutely fantastic blaster. Thanks for the review! (one thing to note, mine really doesn't like elite darts but I wouldn't plan on using those anyway so that's fine)

Just in case you were wondering, the scope DOES work with nerf blasters (Some rails that are obstructed in a way won't work, like with the scout mk2 and rampage). The foregrip kinda works, but it only goes a couple inches and won't slide on all the way
@@jonahbentley2565 you're right, nerf is trying to limit the FPS for dart blasters for kids right now, so that all kid dart blasters on the market have to stay below a certain FPS. This is in addition to the lawsuits.

7:43 I totally understand that feel, because I've been waiting for a few years too. I didn't want to use imr's or lipos, and I was going to slap a Raider mag-well on a Dart Zone Light Command, but now I'm so glad I don't have to.

@Austin Su Rayven, Demolisher, Rapid Red, Desolator, Captain Cassian, Regulator, Modulus, Revoltinator. The list goes on. Now if someone says the Alphastrike Stryfe re-she’ll, then that is wrong.
@Austin Su I personally prefer the Rayven’s bullpup design. The Demolisher is great for HvZ because of special infected. Plus it has a good stock, consistent performance (the Stryfe jams too much stock), and a smoother trigger. The Desolator and Rapid Red grips aren’t too small for me personally (I know you may have had a different experience). The Revoltinators ergonomics are nice. I get your points though. All an opinion. :)
I’m still new to the world of dart blasters. I started off with the Nerf Rapidstrike and have loved it from word go. I was having a blast with it that my wife has taken a liking to flinging foam. After watching this video we got a couple Spectrums and they are now our favorites. This blows the Rapidstrike away in terms of power which surprises me seeing as the Rapidstrike uses C batteries. Nerf wars are going to be more fun thanks to the addition of these bad boys.
Dart zone is going to become the name brand when people say “nerf” in the future if nerf keeps Messing up with things like elite 2.0 and dart zone keeps Killing it with things like adventure force and the nexus pro
They’re already making 3D printed parts for the Spectrum! Mag release for your firing finger, flappy paddle that makes mags with the lip fit easier, etc.
I just bought this and it is crazy. The only thing I have to complain about is that reloading mags is sorta awkward bc of the design and the 10 round mag it comes with is not nearly enough. Other than that, it was the most fun I've had with foam blasters in a long time. I agree with coop I highly recommend
main: spectrum with attachments and 18 round mag secondary: spectrum with no attachments and 6 round mag also, it takes a lot for coop to give up on his tactics. i really am impressed.
