yes it works well my car done 70.000 now I done 6000 miles in 1 year

Taz the electronic handbrake is for people who have no hand/foot coordination and it didn’t need inventing, they are the same on all cars, difficult to service and make it longer and more expensive to change the pads, also they seize up on low mileage little used cars and cost a fortune to fix (in my humble opinion) 😎 but the actual car is great!

@@BarrieCrampton Tosh. Had no issues with my 11 plate J, was dubious of e brake to begin with but now wouldn't get a car without one if an option. Hill assist is nice, moving off much faster too as it disengages itself rather than manually lifting a hand brake. So yeah. Tosh.

@@BarrieCrampton The way I move off after 80k miles I don't know what else I could do to make it go wrong :D Sometimes on my slight hill of a driveway it doesn't want to disengage (couple times a year) but you can override it by pressing brake pedal and pushing ebrake button down. Bare in mind my car is still on the ebrake recall and hasn't had the update from 3 or so years ago. (wouldn't let vauxhall touch my car). Luck of the draw maybe.

I got a offer for a 2010 vauxhall astra for 2000 pounds, 75k km on it.. Bit confused.. Any advices?

that's the trouble when you have two cars that aren't massively different ie a sports car and a 4 wheel drive, I always just tend to use the one that's got fuel in or the one that's easiest to get out

just got back now, a guy in a Renault Capture was doing 20mph on the motorway, then he went in the right hand lane, then he went across 2 lanes to go off a slip road because he was going the wrong way, rather than carry on to the next exit and turn round he would rather chance causing a massive pile up

Craig Trigg where to start? You can make several little clips on your mobile (if its an iPhone) import them in to imovie, edit the clips and when you are done export the finished video up to youtube or save it back to your phone, open your youtube app, click the video upload in top right hand corner navigate to the video and click upload, let me know if you have any problems

its virtually impossible to get the stated maximum mpg which is achieved under ideal conditions, but even hard driving you should get more than that

Oh I know that Barrie but the mpg im managing and what ive read on various owner forum's is bloody poor compared to official figures. I traded in an 09 vectra 1.9 td that sat at 50mpg all day long around the doors. The car is great and suits my family down to the ground but im so disappointed with the economy.

depends heavily on your driving style tho

i own astra j 2.0 cdti mine does 61 mpg but must be serviced every 2200 miles thats what i do hope this helps

best way to look after an engine, on new cars it used to be every 3000 miles when i first started but oil is a lot better these days, still the more you look after your engine the longer it will last

Every 2000 is excessive. Oil is expensive and it's a shame to be committing it to waste at that rate.

Just bought this exact same car, 15 reg, pee'd off, no bluetooth, DAB or USB, only AUX in. Thankfully had Parrot already. Would've thought for a top-of-the-range model, this would've been standard. Otherwise, spotless and fun to drive, only 11K on the clock and I got a bit of a bargain (I think).

@@kevinmcguinness1113 Can get a PX5 android head unit with lovely touch display from ebay for like 200-300. UK sellers. Transforms the car, nice size touch screen, DAB, bluetooth, hell I even have netflix. Any android app you want. Grab a nice car user interface from app store and you're laughing. Much superior in terms of what you can do with it than ANY in car entertainment system. Works with steering controls etc (obviously). AC and that kind of thing gets displayed on the screen too. Then throw a nice HD camera on the back, wire it through back and along roof edge inside, wire to reverse bulb for it's power, then it comes on when you go in reverse. Would also suggest Happyblue/happylightshow (about 60-100 quid) a german made OBD port thing that unlocks a few extras, such as being able to select any combination of external lights to come on when you unlock / and get out of car. So for instance headlights and backlights, can toggle them to turn on when you unlock car, then when you leave car they can come on again until you lock (or for set time). Can use it to do things like long press of unlock opens all windows, lock long press closes all windows. double press unlock to undo trunk hatch (in combination with uprated gas lifts and absorbers you can then make the boot open itself :D ) Also can do weird things like control windscreen wipers from your phone and all sorts. 2011 astra j very much feeling not-outdated :) Only thing I'd really want from it is adaptive cruise control because of how many motorway miles I do, cant use CC for longer than few mins without having to mess around with it from catching up to something even in slow lane. LED projector headlights ebay 200 too bish bosh. (aftermarket).

bit like chalk and cheese really, and you must have driven a bad one because they drive very good as a rule, however the French cars are built for comfort so the ride will be better, but don't try taking a corner too fast :-)

C5 is a different class of a vehicle.
