hey i have the same #! it’s a real good engine for some reason whenever I press F5 and F6 the number boards or Gyro light don’t flash it’s weird... but still it’s a great engine and a great review James

So cool that now Early Amtrak modelers have a beautifully detailed SDP40F. Looking forward to getting two (DC as I plan on installing Loksound setups). Respectfully, one thing that should be noted is that the bell sound featured here is incorrect. It should be a brass bell, not steel.

So do the Economi in the base horn recordings. More power,better EQ. but no reverb or echo mixer like TSU 2.

Another great model locomotive from Athearn Genesis... However with the now coomon see through grills on Scale Model trains locomotives Athearn will need to improve .. Still its i stil a great locomotive

Hi James, how are you? I have had my Athearn Genesis Amtrak SDP40F for awhile, but I just got around to running it today. I must say I think this is the best model yet from Athearn Genesis. It has an excellent level of detail, runs very well, sounds fantastic, and the LED lights are first rate. Can't say enough good things about this model.
