The wood on the original LCD-2 wasn´t replaced by plastic, but metal. And for the me the comfort isn´t an issue at all. They are honestly more comfortable than all of my other headphones. Yes, they are heavy but once I have them on, it just feels like a warm hug around your ears, especially when you turn the music on. The only problem I have are the planar drivers. When I put the headphones on, I can hear a weird crackling-noise which is really worrying.
Have you heard the LCD X? If so, how would you compare the imaging and soundstage between the two? I know the LCD X soundstage was pretty impressive. Obviously they’re a pricier set by a bit. Great and to the point!👍🏻
I agree. I never liked Audeze height adjustment thing. Other things are vastly improved. The weight. The headband (weight distribution). The old sound. The look.
I just received my new LCD 2’s with Rosewood rings. After only 10 hours of listening time, I can very confidently say these headphones sound ( and look ) stunning. I love the Bass and warmth.
I have a Woo WA6 Tube amp. I'd love to know if these will sound good or will they sound dark? I have HD600's that lack any life when I listen through the woo. I have a Valhalla that sounds amazing with them.
