I'm not a hunter...yet, but been using this bag to store all my camping gear for my young family. I have a picnic table that folds perfectly for the bottom weapons compartment which has allowed me to rest a very heavy chuck box the top section of the bag in my car. My young sons now race motocross and we camp as a family at the remote tracks. With a tarp pegged down over top of this bag with the rain shell, none of your gear will get wet when you leave this bag outside of the tent all day and night. The rain shell cover also detaches so you can dry it separately. Even with a tarp, having that extra barrier between the tarp and the bag makes a big difference in hard rain conditions that last for days on end. All of the straps and handles are top notch. I have had this bag roll no problem in pretty deep snow to set up camp in an ice fishing tent. Really helps me to organize everything I need to camp for a family of 4.

Sorry not trying to be too critical but I’m interested. I average 7-9 RTrip flights per hunt season. This system could save me from using my SKB hard side bow case, which doesn’t hold much other gear, some clothes that’s it. And once I go 3 checked bags, MVP Gold flier here gets hit with $100 in bag charges, But free for 2 checked bags. With This new duffle, I can do 2 checked bags, the other bag being Pelican 1615 hard case. Then my personal daypack & carry on too

Can you remove the bottom? Not sure it would work if your horse packing it into camp with the wheels.

Is this tsa compliant for transporting firearms? I seen the side pockets have lockable zippers but does the Hardcase at the bottom pass TSA's bs?

size okay for international flights? ive been looking at 511 soms or cams but this looks right for me as long as dimensions are okay for international travel

Thanks hard to decide I need to test and compare. I have v90 battleship from eberlestock stock and amp24 from 511. Both good brands. Hard to decide. How's rolling it by drag handle VS say travel luggage with handle that folds in and out?

The length of the bag makes it surprisingly comfortable to roll using the handle. I’d recommend laying the bag flat between transits though. Thanks for your question!

Airport travel, baggage conveyors ( baggage Pick-up and back in airport baggage sorting) & TSA will be the best test...especially for soft codura type fabric case. Rolling Wheels feature usually indicates an airline worthy travel bag...hmmmm....

On website are no details of what fabric is used. Just noticed the handle straps appear to be riveted/attached to lower compartment. Not good for TSA and baggage handling thru airports! Warranty info? Needs a good warranty backing for $329.00 bag

Eberlestock's warranties are amazing. Their products are ridiculously durable and long lasting, too. We have visited their offices in ID and their warranty department is a small office that usually has nobody in it and the lights off because they have very few warranty claims. However, if you do need something repaired, their service is stellar!!! They wholeheartedly believe in the durability of their gear and will back it up. Plain and simple, if the gear fails under normal expectations for that piece of gear....they'll fix or replace it! The fabric is the 550d nylon ripstop Cordura....really tough stuff.
