A hidden pro to the slower rate of fire is that it allows the blaster to rev back up to full speed before firing another dart. As most people know, if you rapid fire a rev wheel blaster, subsequent shots will have less power because forcing the darts through slightly slows down the rev wheels as they push the darts through. This blaster doesn't have a drop off of performance because the wheels have time to speed back up before the next dart is fed. So while it may seem like a con initially, the slower firing rate actually helps each dart fired get the most power per shot. The firing speed is only a drawback if you literally need to dump so much foam at one time.
The Auto72 is Buzzbees first step into getting out of the “sick man of foamflinging” spot. Gimmicks are really where they excel, but gimmicks are risky due to how experimental they can be. A High capacity low rate of fire drum blaster is a experiment that worked and I’m excited to see what buzzbee has to offer in the 2023 post-covid recession era

Slow rate of fire is something that comes up in actual firearm design. There are tradeoffs between being able to spray down an area, and being able to sustain a long skirmish. I would prefer if this blaster shot faster just for fun, but I think the slower rate of fire is pretty reasonable for playing!
This reminds me of a buzzbee blaster I had years ago. It was a green "tommy gun" styled blaster with an integrated mag, and was break action with you needing to fold up the front half to load it. Similar trigger mechanism, but I remember a slightly faster rate of fire. It had yellow darts with purple suction heads.
I think this would be a good blast to lay down a steady stream of darts the slower rate of fire means and the larger mag means you don't have to reload. So if you work as a team and use this as suppressive fire.
It amazes me that it took this long for someone to incorporate the rev-trigger electronic switch into the first portion of a longer trigger pull like Nerf did on the Nite-finder back in 2004!!! Kudos to BuzzBee!
@@ddm_gamer Thank you for that reminder! 👍 I am only finding it in BuzzBee and a custom or two. I am very surprised that Nerf didn't use it in their blasters, it just seems so intuitive and they already had it in the NiteFinder. Weird...
Well after seeing this video, I can think of a few modifications that would make one of them better. 3D printing a few higher capacity ammo wheels might be an intresting challange.

Wow, this one is very good. Im not going to buy it since I have loads of equipment, but if anyone would like to enter the hobby there are very few blasters this good
Hey Coop i got a quick question, will you be reviewing the new nerf "gel" blasters? Their a lot different than the normal nerf blaster, but they still fall in the nerf "blaster" category.

Maybe he already did a review on it but has yet to release it as editing takes a lot of time. I can already hear his "I don't see a place for this in our game" comment lol
9:11 the aftermarket Woozie is the one extreme end, the Alpha Auto 72 is the other. Yes, there are advantages to a slower RoF, but this is way too slow to be effective in battle. Just shooting it on your own becomes really boring really fast, as this RoF is slower than semi auto. I can only assume the slow RoF comes from the drum design. While the capacity and ability to remove it makes it the best drum system so far, the fact that it spins so easily on it's own and the slow RoF just diminishes the point of a drum. Not that I was ever an advocate of them, as traditional box magazines are far more effective. I don't think there's that much reason to buy this blaster. I was almost about to tell you a congratulation on your eye recovery but then I saw your comment about it. Really makes you wonder how many videos are recorded and edited in advance. Though admittedly, the lack of tac shades does reduce style points.
Well, it taking almost a minute to run out of ammo means it's amazing to keep your opponent behind cover while your teammates flank them. So I'd say it's amazing for that role. Also, the decent projectile-velocity means it can compete when you get jumped as well. So I think it's great for a heavy gunner.
Shorten it, put a better battery and pusher motor in it, make that drum a little tighter so it doesn’t move around as much, and you’ve got something amazing
Hmmm. Interesting. I'll wait until they'll make a second version with better quality parts, higher rate of fire (100 FPS kid friendly), etc. Hopefully it happens in the future. Seems like a wonderful gift item for a group of kids.

They probably couldn't make it shoot faster if they wanted to. That's a real big drum to rotate into place for each shot. Moving it any faster would probably cause mechanical problems.
