Nice review.... You can tell you are passionate about fragrances! :) I'm sampling Ambra as we speak and my initial impression is positive..... I like it! In fact, I could see myself enjoying this more than Oud (I have yet to try Leather). I agree this is a safer option in comparison to Oud. I like the top notes.... I find the first 5 mins of Ambra very appealing, which I prefer over Oud's top notes. I get the suede smell as you mentioned, but I also pick up some rose with the wood and musk. I also get a sweet vanilla scent too. Lastly, I pick up a barbershop vibe at the end, which is probably the "soapy" scent you alluded to. Being a male, I actually enjoy that at the end (not that a female couldn't enjoy the end). I appreciate you sharing your thoughts!! Cheers!
+Just Gil You deserve it. BTW this is my first fragrance of Aqua Di Parma, I've heard a lot about it but most of comments were about its poor longevity. What do you think?!
