First off I would like to say it's great to see you back after last year your competitions are always part of my Christmas count down.i have got the pellet fireing version and I have had such fun with it I even managed to get some replica rattle snakes for the handle and had a Eastwood replica holster made as well (I know bit sad but it had to be done). Wishing you and your family a very merry Christmas

You gotta love that crisp double click! Every time I here that, I remember the scene where Tuko makes it across the dessert, walks into the gun shop, & puts parts of several pistols together into one good one. Then holds it up to his ear and ca-click, ca-click, ca-click...oh yeah. I have the nickel -plated SAA with rifled 5.5" barrel and black satin grips. Found a 19th century reproduction quick-draw holster for it too.

Tuco took apart 3 differant colt revolvers he took the barrel from one the pistol grip tiger frame assembly from another and the cylender from yet another. A few things wrong about that is 2 were .44 1 was. 36 all cap and ball revolvers no cartridge conversion to them. Next as he rules the cylender in his hand your hearing as you say ca-click ca-click...the cylender does not make a sound when out of the gun rocked in hand the only clicking possible while doing that might be caused from the rings tuck was wearing. Next after pricing together a Cap and Ball Revolver made from a .38 and 2 .44s he loads with metalic cartridges to test it out. Through out the movie Tuco is using metalic cartriges but when they present to join the union army you can see he has a cap and ball revolver as you can see the caps on the nipples. Thus can be seen close to the end of the movie again when the three are to face off against each other to find the name on the grave. Ut Tuco's gun wint shoot and blonde tells Tuco he unloaded if at the bridge suddenly there us no precussion caps on it. Back when that was to have taken place during the civil war single action revolvers did not yet have the Safety Stage as such they were 3 stage hammers not 4 stage at most would be only click click click when cocking the gun. No one prior to 1900 had low slug holster or fast draw holsters that was strictly invented my Hollywood movies at the turn of the last century and by dime novels from 1895 to early 1900s. Most hand guns were carried in pocked tucked in waisted or in a holster at waisted height In the entire history of the United States and Canada there have only been maybe half a dozen actual witnessed and recorded face to face gunfights the first of which ever witnessed and recorded was the hickock vs Tutte gunfight. Most gunfights were back shooting by ambush or someone would pull a gun and shoot someone during a drunken bar fight. No one ever twirled their gun it could go off if dropped. No one ever Fanned their gun at the very least it would cause premature wear and tear as well internal parts could break bu even more dangerous was the chance the chamber was not lined up with the barrel at time it fired causing the gun to Explode Yes people did twirl their guns Yes people did fan their guns But the that was Only during Shooting Exhibitions and Wild West Shows and those firearms were custom build specifically for those purposes. These are historical Facts. As a boy I was fortunate to know my Great Grandfather who kept journals of his life from age 12 till he moved to Canada and retired in at 80 his first job was assistant scout on a wagon train bound for Oregon then as a scount for the U.S. Cavalry then as a Sherrif in a few places in New Mexico and again in Arizona then a U.S. Deputy Marshal in Oaklahoma Territory till he moved to Canada and worked in a skaughter house till he retired at 80. We would sit around watching tv and he would brake out laughing everytime a western came on when asked why he started telling my moment dad brothers and myself what the old west was truely like and of his life experiences. He gave me some of his guns his U.S. Deputy Marshal Oklahoma Territory Badge and several journals. My Great Grandfather passed away at 97 in 1959. Other then my great grandfathers first hand accounts passed on to the family and his journals. The facts I mentioned can be found by checking Historic Records News Paper Archives Law Enforcement history Records and Archives as well as Museums and Museum Records

nice review. I have 3 of these, two bb and one pellet. I have to say my favorites are the bb versions. I can shoot bb or pellets out of them and get basically the same accuracy with a pellet as I am getting from my pellet only version of the gun. neither of my bb versions have the barrel problem. they are identical in every other way as far as fit/finish and quality. I can even use my cartridges for both bb and pellet with no issues.

comment at 1:40. You're doing it wrong. When the hammer is half cocked for loading, you have to fully cock the hammer before letting backdown on the cylinder. Otherwise the bold will scratch the cylinder. I shoot real SA revolvers myself, Colt, Pietta, Uberti. And all work the same. The Ruger is different. So….. regards, Paul

The unarex Colt SAA peacemake bb verson with smooth bore barrel will also shoot .177 lead pellets. You loose feet per second because the pellet is near double the weight of the bb BUT the Lead Pellet fits the barrel properly creating a perfect seal while travelling the full barrel.length as a result even with smooth bore barrel you get better accuracy then bb able to consistently get 1/4in groups at 15 feet and 1/2 to 3/4 inch groups at 30 feet

The hammer gap is exactly ar it was and is on the original powder burners. Single action revolvers started producing and using 4 stage hammers in 1872. Remington , Colt and others who produced single actions all went to 4 stage hammers. The first stage was Advertised by Remington, Colt and others as the Safety so the gun can safely be carried with full load cylender. The Only time the Hammer sat completely down no hammer gap was if the gun was not loaded or it the hammer sat on an empty chamber. Carting the gun on first stage started about 1872 became popular by 1873 and continued that way for years. Some continued to lower the hammer between cartriges to prevent accidental discharge a practice carried on since the first Colt Patterson revolver back in 1836. There was still a small hammer gap but the firing pin was not resting on a primer. Others lowered the hammer to sit direct on the primer these still left a small hammer gap. But when the 4 stage hammer started comming out for all makes of single action revolver by 1873 it started to become popular but over time wear and tear the hammer notch or trigger spur that engages the notch would become worn or broken and a bump could cause accidental discharge somewhere bout mid to late 1880s people started loading 1 skip 1 load 4 more so the hammer would sit on an empty chamber by 1890 Colt, Remington and Others started advertising safe carry as load 1 miss one load 4 more. You may not like the hammer gap but that is true to the old west carry a loaded revolver style. Also you can mod the hammer to remove almost all the gap so it would appear as though the hammer was resting on a primer or between cartridges. It's a matter of repositioning where the hammer spring attaches to the hammer. Ideally youd want it so the trigger spur does not engage the safety notch and normal resting positions is half harmless between the release valve and first stage on the hammer but that only reduces the gap by half. If you set it so the hammer is only the thickness of a hair from touching the release valve you will almost completely bit no quite eliminate the hammer gap. Bare in mind in doing this mod you run the risk of accidental discharge possibly injuring someone if gun has bb/pellets in it or at very least discharging your co2. Especially it your using a hammer tie down to secure the gun in a holster. This is the same risk that they ran in the old west while resting the hammer on a primer.

I have 2, one silver one black, the silver one is the most accurate in my collection of 7 guns, plus l get around 130 pellets to a co2 bulb, all the other guns around 65 pellets to a bulb, apart from the Schofield model 3 which l use BBs in and get around 110 to a bulb likewise the Remington 1875 that is Smoothbore. The black colt l only had 2 days before l noticed there was slight movement in the barrel not much but l knew it would get worse, l took it back to the gunshop who had it repaired in a fortnight, the silver one I've had awhile and has been excellent from day one, touch wood. The colts do seem to have an almost hair trigger to them the least touch and its fired, l nearly shot the cat because of it lol.

There's no reason they couldn't use wood grip inserts. Off and on has nothing to do with it because they could easily install some small metal tabs to the wood to snap them in place. That would far outlast plastic as well, plastic dry rots eventually and those little tabs will go bye bye.

I have waited and watched for it daily since you first posted a review on the Umarex Colt SAA Peacemaker. Are you Ever going to make and post such a video ? If not does that mean the SwissArms 1911 70 yard long range video you made and posted is not as it appears in the videos or stated in the video or your description 9f the video? Just curious as very much would like to see you shoot the Umarex Colt SAA Peacemaker Long Range and a close view of target to show the hits where ever they may be on target if it hits it at all. My favorite pellet revolver. I bring the peacemaker out to bring peace between bad situations. And it brings peace real quick. I wish I could mod the hammer to sit closer to the hammer. You can have the 4 clicks if you push the trigger and the hammer towards the co2 valve and let go of trigger and the 4 clicks are there. But I wanna get it closer..
@darylnahorny8326
@darylnahorny8326 3 года назад
The hammer can be modded to remove the gap but it adds slight strain on the hammer spring. You need to change the position the hammer spring attachment chest to the hammer while in rest position. The goal is to position it so the hammer is no longer sitting in the safety notch ( first click position) instead it is preferably half way between the release valve and being in the first click on the hammer. You can also have it so when hammett it in test position it is the thickness of a hair from touching the release valve. Here in is the problem yes it will look awesome how ever as with the real powder burner you run the risk of accidental discharge if the hammer is bumped or if in a holster and usage the hammer tie down to secure the gun in the holster there is a good chance it will fire a bb or if the gun empty but co2 in it it will discharge the co2. In real life when the gun was fully loaded if the hammer sat on a cartridge there was a small gap and the cartridge would fire if Harper hit or lowered between cartridges because of snug fit of fireing pin between cartridges there was a slight gap but was completely safe to carry 6 rounds. These were the methods befor Remington Colt and Others added an additional stage to the hammer called the Safety Stage giving Remington Colt and other single action revolvers 4 clicks while cocking the hammer. The 4 click contrary to popular belief was not specific to or designed to or in no way ment to spell out C.O.L.T. otherwise Remington and other single action revolvers would not have it. The first click was made as a Safety for single action revolvers so they can carry full load be it a 5 shot cylender or 6 shot cylender both were very common from 1835 to present day. From the beginning of the 4 stage hammer the first notch was advertised by Remington, Colt and others as a Safety Notch. But over time with lots of use and or hard ware and tear this hammer notch and or trigger spur that engaged the notch told wear down or break and accidental discharge might occur if bumped. So by early 1880s they once again started lowering the hammer between cartridges and somewhere late 1880s they stated load 1 skip 1 load 4 more and Colt , Remington and Others began advertising that as the safe carry method. So even the real colts remingtons and others had a hammer gap while carrying full load if carried in the first stage of the hammer as is the normal rest position on the Umarex Colt SAA and as long as there was a full load in their cylender the hammer always had a cap from minor while lowered between cartridges to small while resting on cartridge to as the Umarex Colt SAA while in the first stage a.k.a. the Szfety Notch

@darylnahorny8326
@darylnahorny8326 3 года назад
I have never had to push the pellets dealer in mine although that limits me to roughly 60 shots before they stay in the cartridge. I get 120 great shots using bb before you notice the reduced power then drops fast max I can shoot with steel bb is 170 per co2 if shooting 15 feet or less the most I gather shootout to 30 feet is 110 before changing co2. How ever if I push them in a little than my shots using pellet increase to 120 per co2 before they get stuck. I solved that by buying the silver coloured cartridges designed for pellet us No need to push the pellet in and deacreased my co2 consumption. 15 feet or less target I get 135 before they drop too drastically My 30foot target 90 to 100 shots no problem

The umarex peacemaker Actually has 4 stages (4 clicks) but one of the safty features Umarex incorporsted was when hammer is down it sits on first stage rather then on co2 release valve. If or press your trigger slowly move hammer forward till you feel it touch your co2 release valve hold hammer there release the trigger. Cock the hammer count the clicks 1 2 3 4 Like the Real Colt SAA powder burner...click 1 the Safety stage sets trigger gun can not fire. Click 2 the Half Cock position, this releases the cylender locking bar allowing the cylender to rotate by hand enabling load and unload. Click 3 is the cylinder locking bar resetting itself. Click 4 cylinder sound of trigger setting itself in fire possition and cylinder locking in fire possition simultaneously The Umarex Colt SAA all have the 4 stage but with the Umarex it is designed thst the hammer sits at stage 1 ( click 1) the safety stsge to protect the co2 release valve. Also Note the 4 clicks is Not to spell out C O L T if it was then explain why the 1875 Remington and other single action revolvers from 1873 forward have 4 clicks. Also Note the Original Colt SAA was carried with 6 rounds safely. As was the practice with Colt precussion cap revolvers they lowered the hammer between caps preventing accidental discharge. The hammer if the 1873 Colt SAA was lowered so fireing pin rested between cartridges preventing accidental discharge this info from Colt also from my great grand fathers diary also personal experiance with my Original Powder Burners 1849 Colt 1851 Colt 1862 Colt 1873 Colt 1858 Remington 1875 Remington and msny more in my collection.

Odd how they made the cartridges. Usually with the rubber membrane in the rear of the dummy cartridge, that means pellets. Front lead imitation membrane is for BBs
@darylnahorny8326
@darylnahorny8326 3 года назад
The reason for bb loading in the rear of the cartridge is to increase inter barrel by 1 1/2 inch ( length of faux cartridge) by doing so it increases fps and accuracy. The dan wesson cartridges work in the Umarex Colt SAA bb loads in fron on thos cartridges. If you have a chronograph you will notice a huge differance in fps. As to accuracy it depends first on the individual shooter second on the guns as no to guns are alike this includes powder burners no 2 are like. Loosely speaking a bb loaded in front of cartridge compaired to on loaded in back is similar in comparison to a .38 S&W and a .38 Special or a .45 scofield and a .45 long colt fired from the same guns same loads but differant feet per second and depending of Shooter and gun accuracy

Do you suggest me the bb version or the pellet???
@darylnahorny8326
@darylnahorny8326 3 года назад
That is basically personal preferance. The bb version is smooth bore but you can shoot .166 lead pellets with it. If you use pellets you loose in feet per second due to the pellet being almost double the weight of a bb. Because a pellet fits the barrel exactly fofmying a perfect seal the full travel through the barrel it is slightly more accurate then a bb. The pellet version has a rifled barrel and yes it is possible to shoot bb out of the pellet version but a bb measures .173 diameter where as on average pellet measures .1779 diameter. The bore on both the smooth and ruffled barrel is .177 diameter. If you shoot bb in a ruffled barrel you may and may not dammage thr barrel. So it all boils down to personal choice. With the smooth bore barrel bb verson its capable of either bb or pellet without worry you may or may not dammage riffling also sometimes you look everywhere and no pellets available but there are bb or vise versa. On the other hand it is believed the ruffled barrel is more accurate. Having both smooth bore and ruffled in all outer barrel lengths from 3 1/2 to 5 1/2 to 7 1/2 I can tell you know the only one that there is a noticeable differance on between ruffled and smooth bore shooting at 30 feet or more it the 7 1/2 in barrel at 30 feet I get 3/8in group at 50 feet I get 3/4 inch group with odd flyer making it 1 1/4 in group So you see it boils down to personal preferance

By the Way, Umarex in Germany dont produce this Revolver, its made by OEM Wingun in Taiwan , the same for Schofield, Dan Wesson, Remington, Webley, Nagant Revolvers in 6mm and 4.5mm Thats a Fact
@darylnahorny8326
@darylnahorny8326 3 года назад
Not true there are some made in Germany but they are for European countries. Win gun does produce some airsoft and airguns designed by other companies as well as their own designs. But they are not the Only company to build airsoft or airguns and they do not build 100 percent alm parts at wingun some components are produced Delaware and assembled into the product they produce. When dealing with large scale production to cover a world wide market it is Imposdable for any one manufacture to produce enough product to cover the global market so it is common practice to farm out manufacturing to several company spanning the globe to manufacture the airsoft and airguns. This process is common and goes for Any product sold in the Global market. Example not all ford , dodge , Chevy are produced in the United states in fact there are factories around the world that either strictly assemble from parts produced elsewhere or they manufacture most if not all parts. That is Fact when dealing with a world wide market.

Why are they stupid enough to put cross head screws in a "replica"? Makes it look like a bad copy.

I feel so sad and almost depressed for these people whose leaders have chosen to force them to be happy and excited by these "toys". Potentially dangerous as they are, they are still pale imitations of the real things that are some of the few remaining symbols of freedom and independence left on the planet.

we can have real revolvers with a 12 inch barrel. But the licence is a long process and you will need to be a member of gun range.

Don't be sad, you still have a murder rate more than twice all other first world countries per capita. Freedum! New stat this week, your children have 35% more chances of dying from firearms than other countries like the U.K. Freedum! The U.S. had more gun deaths per capita in 2019 than Syria a country at war. Freedum!
