Mega XL lil rocket barrel so it can be put on the Stryker! Mega XL's dart diameter is 30mm wide, so a 29mm diameter barrel should be pretty easy to do! (MegaXL Dart diameter from American Foam's measurements on the HONM Discord)
I love how this hobby has evolved; when I joined over a decade ago the height of technology was a maverick and using pennies to get more spring compression, Orange Mod works was the only company making parts and we had to make stefans out of foam backer rod now you can just buy replacement internals, buy 3D printed parts and entire blasters made by members of the community, and buy stefans off of store shelves I love it
1:24 The muzzle does do something! It can fit mega darts and rival rounds! There's even a slit on one side that if you have facing up, it will act as a hop up for the rival rounds.
You guys should make a stock that holds Jupiter like the mediator stock. It would probably be a big hit for you guys but I see how it would be hard to do tho XD.
With how accurate the darts are, I find that it actually is possible to aim with the scope if you really want to! I tried shooting a target aiming with the scope once and got 14 hits out of 15 shots.
@@oopsInc777 is any foam dart blster going to be perfectly and 100% accurate? I have found that the "scope" is okay for "target" use No one is suggesting its equal to a firearm optic but still better than the "iron sights" - people take this too seriously. They are foam dart balster to play with
as someone who is just barely getting into this hobby with this blaster, I could not be more thankful for the quality videos AND products you offer in the space. Keep up the great work Luke and I look forward to modding with some of your parts! :)
2:40 fun fact. If you swap out that stock for the Nexus pro stock those iron sights become useable. Also If you put the Max Stryker stock on the Nexus pro it becomes a lot more comfortable and accurate ( when using aftermarket iron sights ).
4:10 Angled or Vertical Foregrip I would call the Nexus Pro a Vertical Foregrip my Distinction, is where your thumb goes. if thumb wraps around the backside, its a Vertical Grip. If thumb rests against the side of it and points upwards or forwards, its an Angled Grip. -is your hand grasping the grip, or cupping the grip.
Almost looks like a real steel cheek riser or cheek weld but the lowest setting is higher than any of the stock sight options. Anyway like thanks for the thorough but forgiving review.
The ACOG is pretty useful considering the iron sights are too low. I find that bringing it all the way to the front of the rifle on the rail is the best way to utilize it.
Out of darts YES, I agree about that issue when priming the blasters I have to think about how to prime the blaster. I haven’t ever seen anyone else complain but for this reason I stick with a nexus in the debate for me.
@@bikeman1x11 I have actually thought a bit and maybe the max Stryker is a tad better despite the small grip. The prime is so much smoother for some reason and has much rarer extra feeds. I have had games where (I don’t know how it has happened) gotten like 4 darts loaded in and it jams so much I sometimes carry a suction cup arrow that unjams it. I have tried both with spacers and there is something about the max Stryker that makes it an easier prime
@@bikeman1x11 yes I can agree apart from extremely rare. I’m my games most max Stryker users have it happen at least a couple 5 times per day which is more common than it should be but much better than my at least 20 time average of my modded nexus pro
Thanks for the review as well as the preview of your future offerings. I’d love to get my hands on a Max Stryker, I’m much more excited about the aesthetics than the Nexus.
Got mine last month. I like it a lot. I also own a Nexus Pro, and a Dart Zone MK1.1 Waiting for you guys to release mods for it. It's a great out of the box blaster for the price. I put magpul sights and a magpul stock on mine and it really makes it feel more solid. Was not digging the weird low profile sights or the scope.
Love what you guys do over at Out Of Darts. In this vid you mention wanting to do a review on the new Max Pro ammo; just wondering if that's in the works. I'm keen for the red half-lengths but I'm in Australia so I'd like to have a solid idea of what I'm getting before I ship them
Start to see your four grip design and whatever else you might want to redesign for us big guys that have the Stryker and wanna "fix" some things from its stock configuration. Also, where might one buy the T-shirt you're wearing in this particular video Luke?!? Great overview and informative heads up to a very exciting new economy, VERY CAPABLE blaster platform, that in my opinion is much better than the Nexus so far.
Yes there is. However, we found it to be a bit more flimsy picatinny-style rail than we would like. I believe we're still in the works for one that would attach directly to the priming sled.
Dart blasters are looking more and more like real steel every day. Like as soon as you picked up the blaster 30 seconds in I mistook it at first glance for an ar-15
I hate, hate hate the grips on the Nexus. Crushes the skin in my very bony fingers. Honestly, just looking at the Stryker, this would be much better for me personally without having to buy aftermarket parts.
An accuracy test rig would be easy - in concept, at least, in practice, its a bit of an undertaking, but I think it would be well worth the effort. Measure average length and specific material of springer main blaster barrels, and flywheel average barrel lengths (separately), with measurements on fps for each length recorded Find three averages out of the barrel lengths - short average, center average, and long average - for both separate types of blasters Devise a base FPS - if your games that you play at have an FPS limit, use those too - and using the FPS data from earlier, you can even match it to the length of the barrel for further tests Use an HPA system to fire at that FPS reliably, while also allowing for the target FPS to be changed easily; and use a dart cage of your choice for the flywheel propulsion Devise a system to quickly swap barrel lengths and materials, that is able to be trap-door loaded with darts without removing the barrel - most easily PVC coupling off the top of my head, but a better solution could be 3d printed easily Using a low power laser in the barrel breech of the propulsion system with barrel attached, sight in a decent camera at some specific range. This will be your reference point during accuracy testing, while also allowing for review of flight patterns and angular deviation. Test a wide variety of barrels, including averages and most common materials found, until optimal accuracy is achieved with each FPS limit and either blaster type. You could go really deep into this rabbit hole, by testing average barrel tolerances, material differences and fitment based differences, and length to any extreme - You'd have to resight for every barrel change, but since its a trapdoor load, you can test many different darts through one barrel Standardize measurement of deviation from targeted camera, by superimposing accuracy rings (like on a normal target) with distortion accounted for. Use a combined total x,y deviation from center at a specific range as a 'score marker', which you can then 'rate' darts off of for accuracy. (For instance, -3.5,+1 x,y distance from center, so it'd be 4.5 deviation at 15m, therefore 4.5/15. Smaller the number, the better. ) Huge content goldmine here, and it would be an excellent addition to the community to have an scientific measurement of dart accuracy. The journey leading to the most accurate nerf gun ever made, the reason for doing it and testing methodology, and actually doing the testing, all great video topics for more longform content a la multipart series.
It is more or less compatible, but depending on the tolerances of your Max Stryker it could be a tight fit. Because we can't guarantee that it will work with every Max Stryker, we decided to update the listing saying it's incompatible. Sorry for the confusion! There's no easy way to annotate or correct things in a RU-vid video.
Here you go! Apparently it wasn't live until this morning. Whoops! outofdarts.com/products/dart-zone-max-stryker-buffer-tube-sling-mount?variant=39513411846186
What's the deal with people not wanting to shop at Walmart or Target? Being outside the US, neither will ship outside the country but package forwarders work better with Walmart.
It is not a Dart Zone Pro blaster. However, unless the specific game you go to requires a specific line of blasters (like the Dart Zone Pro Tour last Summer), the DZ Max Stryker has the performance and mod potential to be competitive.
No. Jet Cedas (and compatibles like the Game Face Prime) do not work with Talon Mags out of the box. We do, however, sell magwell adapters that can make the Ceda accept Talon Mags.
Are you still working on the larger pump grip replacement? I didn't see one on the shop yet. If not, is there a compatible one you would recommend? I saw one from worker for the Nexus pro on the site.
Can you guys make a custom.short dart mag well for the max stryker so it can be black? Also, how about a mag releade delete like what you did for the mk 3?
Like with the Nexus Pro, we might carry them on the shop, but keep in mind that we mainly do this for our international customers who wouldn't be able to purchase them otherwise.
