The real question is when is ecd gonna make a goalie head

So exciting. I feel like you can really use a 30" shaft with this way better than a traditional goalie head. Stringing a regular goalie head that can actually throw with a shorty is pretty hard if you don't know what you're doing. Outlet machine.

i remember learning to string heads when greg was still filming at his house and i bought first edition ecd wax mesh. Crazy how things change so fast

This design is great for goalies who like long and accurate outlet passes, plus the added stiffness at the top will prevent a bunch of goals- nothing pisses off a goalie more than the head bending and letting in an otherwise saved shot!

You should shoot against this and see how it saves versus other goalie heads

I am going to have to pick one up and have one of our goalies play with this bad boy.. I would imagine the objective was to make it release much like a field stick thus allowing the goalie to be more effective in the transition game (girls game specific). As we see our women's game evolving at lightning speed, this is a subject that comes up often. I know coach Wills has several drills with a field stick and this makes for quicker hands as well as a faster release in the passing skill side. This head looks like it will make the goalie a more effective defensive player on the ball too (like coming up to and beyond the crease on ball defense). Definitely looking forward to seeing how this head will play for goalies, that being said I think I would match this to an ECD Carbon Pro to give it the most optimal feel and handling and make it play as much as a super sized men's stick. (look at that pocket depth, with the ball handling skills most women's game players have this would be super sick!) not to knock the men's game but women's game players have to have cradle skills and handles like no other and the biggest complaint about the women's side playing with the traditional goalie head is the difficulty in cradle and handles with them.

My Varsity goalie has struggled with stringing this, he now passed it to me to get a look at it. It is strange, the channel is so narrow 12diamond bags way deep and the top edge because of the slanted walls is also narrow meaning a tight top string is difficult. I would love to get your stringers pattern before I try screen shotting your video and reverse engineering it. Thanks.

Just picked one of these up and am throwing ECD 12D Semi-Soft on it. What was your stringing pattern? I am tempted to string it up like a field head...

How long does it take to ship

I like the fact they are trying something different but this really isn't going to catch on. Goalie sticks are a specific shape for a reason and that's to maximize coverage area for saves. This may make throwing and cradling easier but there is too much lost in coverage area

Oh god this is not goalie love at all. This is just a straight up worse design. Why do this? This makes the goalies main job more difficult :(
