It worked out that I had to put out two reviews back-to-back because of scheduling. Next week I will have started on the plywood walls and hopefully have the service entrance (main electric) installed so that I can run my 240-volt tools! I cannot tell you how tired I am of running all electricity off of extension cords! See you next Saturday!

I have a dewalt stool, and that fabric is just like you said - like a more flexible version of Kevlar. I've had it for years and it takes everything I give it. No complaints 😊

Great to hear Dave! I had a stool one time that had a regular woven fabric on it - like an office chair, but it was supposed to be a shop chair. It held so much dust that it sent out a cloud if you gave it a slap. I really hated that seat!

I try to use a stool wherever possible in the shop. It saves the back, and that's important! I also uses it as a mobile platform for tools, but probably shouldn't 😉

I'm the same way. People that don't, will regret it later!

It really is. I will be beating the snot out of it in the coming years, so we'll see if looks are deceiving or not.

Dewalt makes so many different things now it's hard to keep up! I just bought a hand-held dewalt vacuum, and just love it! I'll keep this in mind when I am looking for a stool 😊

I agree 100% I'm actually going to pick-up one of those vacuums myself. There are 𝘻𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 of time I need a quick pickup of a small amount dust/debris in a distant spot I want to pick up without dragging out the shop vac!

I have the smallest Dewalt Vac, it's a 20volt wet dry, it is so cool. Even if you have the larger Dewalt 20v vac, the smallest one is like $100 tool only... it is super small and is so nice for an area where you need to pick up a little sawdust. I have a mat in my garage where I park my Polaris Ranger plow vehicle. After plowing the mat holds the water and I used the tiny vac to get the water up and just kept a 5 gallon bucket there and emptied the reservoir when I needed to, beats wheeling in a big vac and plugging it in, etc. I am talking about the 20v Max Max Hand Vac wet/dry. Dewalt makes 3 or 4 small vacs.

@@jned3967 Thanks J Ned! I actually have that vac in my cart on Amazon. I've had several over the years, but they didn't hold up very well. Glad to hear the DeWalt is up to snuff! I would use it for quick cleanups of the table saw, drill press etc. Once the dust collection is in place, that will get 90+% of the dust, but there is always a little left, and you don't want to pull out a full sized vacuum for that little bit. I'm looking at the DCV501HB, is that the same one you're talking about?

Mine is the DCV517B. I will probably own all of the Dewalt vacs at some point, I doubt you can go wrong with the model you are looking at too. The one I have is just the tiny handheld, but I find myself using it ALL the time for the weirdest stuff. Think of it as a very good Dustbuster, but also does wet and dry. I think the one you named is dry only, which would be good for what you said too. The one I have is just a very simple, small workhorse. Some reviews complain about the suction, but they may be comparing to a corded vac? I get tired of lugging around the big shop vacs, I'm not 25 any more!

@@jned3967 I had compared those two vacs, and couldn't find any really difference other than attachments - until I saw your post. That is it, the wet-or-dry feature 💡Now it makes sense. I'll still get the one I chose as the attachments will help get into the nooks and crannies of the machinery I will be cleaning 😊

Hi Mojo,Boys and Their toys but joking aside it sure looks like a sturdy stool and of course you should expect to get a good product from DeWalt. It does make me laugh though when DeWalt and Milwaukee call each other out so funny.

Thanks Larry. I actually know people who work at Milwaukee Took. The factory is a few miles from where I grew up. Most of the tools are made overseas (less and less in China), and I'm not sure what they all do back in Milwaukee, but it is a massive plant. Maybe just warehousing 🤔

Thanks Dave! It seems to be a good deal stronger that my other 'creeper' type stool. Hopefully it lasts - there is so much junk out there these days!
