I think I may give this game a try. It’s been well over a decade since we’ve had a new Monkey Island game. And it doesn’t look like we’ll be getting one anytime soon, since the IP seems to be in licensing hell at the moment. So I think Duke Grabowski will probably work as a substitute for the time being. Sidenote: if you’re looking for a really clever and fun point and click adventure from the last ten or so years, I suggest giving Dropsy a try. It has great puzzles, likable characters, a nifty dialog-less style of writing, etc.

The art style and low-poly character models of this game somehow reminded me of the Telltales' Monkey Island game and Sam & Max.

This actually reminds me of "A Hat In Time" for some reason. Do you have any plans of reviewing that game?

It's a platformer, so while I won't rule A Hat in Time out entirely... it's extremely low priority.

If I can put up with it long enough to finish the story. Otherwise it'll be an MTO.

@@DWTerminator The crusade mechanic and Hom&m part is way more tedious than King kingdom management in Kingmaker IMO. The RPG part is fine though.

It was written by the guy who wrote A Vampyre Story, and this game sounds like it's miles behind that one.

Haven't gotten around to that one yet so I can't really comment on whether it's better or not.

@@DWTerminator It's a good adventure game, the one midly annoying side being it's not super easy to get running (DD wrappers and such), so if you're interested in covering it I'd advise giving it a shot before Windows 11 hits (which will surely make it even harder)😩

Good & bad points as always.Idk if this is right or not, but i remember you have showcased Dungeons Of Naheulbeuk on an MTO video be it mix of games or MTO from an event like Gamescom or such🤔

@@DWTerminator ooh ok then..must be my mind imagining things..but i do notice there isn't that big amount of reviews on certain RPG games including those obscure/weird crpg wannabes (yeah there's quite a number of them in the deep rabbit hole)

I do plan on covering some pretty obscure RPGs, J-RPGs, and "RPG-likes" (for lack of a better way of describing them). Just have a lot of backlog to catch up on first.

Sadly, in my opinion, the main character feels like a side character. And not a very interesting or memorable character. I love Monkey Island, and I guess it's hard not to compare this to what inspired it...
