I still would not want to get punched by this guy, cardio, form or not.... though I would actually take that hit than kick him in the face and most likely send him to a hospital. I liked the review
@@krasserj4k A good planted kick can send a person to the hospital, but if you disagree then there is not much I can do or say. Where I think you are right is because I would not start an issue with the guy in the first place in order to prove you wrong or right...
Calm down ya'll, he just admitted he doesn't have boxing experience... he's just doing this to review the product. Looks like a good workout regardless
It's a shitty bag I had one and it leaked water no matter how much i tightened the bolts and the stem broke after 3 months. It's cheap garbage. Neverlast is more like it.
With some serious technical training in boxing you will be one intimidating dude! Keep it up man. I used to train a lot in boxing and I can tell you for some one with no training you really are off to a good start
I've been boxing at my Uni boxing gym for 3 months now, so looking to get this for the holiday breaks. But God damn, you've got a lot of genetic potential, you're endurance and speed for your size is pretty scary.
The fact you say, "Im not a boxer. Obviously!" earns you my respect! because it shows you are not trying to show off like you are amazing. You know what you are capable of and what you are doing and thats great! But just try to get some training to tighten up your strikes and defenses. have a great day! Good review!
I‘ve been decided whether or not to buy this punching bag for my boyfriend for Xmas but your video convinced me! It made me 100% confident about my purchase. I can’t wait to surprise him now!
I've worked out on traditional heavy bags ru-vid.comUgkxp9-sf95nqfjey-uyzxUzQ7m9MXRPK1BE a spherical stuffed "wrecking ball" bag, and now this thing. What I like about it is that it has the heft to stay largely in place so I'm not chasing it around. It's tall enough to allow for headshots and body shots, but it's short enough to give an uppercut somewhere to land. I'm very happy so far. Filling it was a bit of a cluster. For top-offs, I've learned that you can screw the supplied nozzle onto any basic plastic water bottle. I can't speak to durability as I've only had it a week.
As one of the few people in this comment section with any actual training in boxing and BJJ, I can definitely say that this guy has a natural gift for this. Obviously his form needs some improvement, but he’s had no training?! He moves quicker than most guys half his size. And endurance and speed are two key elements for boxing. Honestly man just look up some simple videos on how to punch and guard / foot work and your golden 💪🏻👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 great job!
Thank you for this review; it was very helpful! I liked how you showed the assembly and also demonstrated how you used it it. It gave me a very good idea of the product before purchasing it. Thanks again!
I know your vid has been up for a while, but I just saw it. Absolutely outstanding! No BS…just a guy wanting to work out on a ‘heavy’ bag. I’m going to pull the trigger and buy one…for me, it’s going to compliment my current work out…add some cardio and agility training. Thank you…appreciate it!
Thank you for this review I'm buying the newest version of this product and I'm a pretty big guy so nice see that it can stand the pressure. I would say that your weight is not behind the punch but looks like it can handle punishment.
Just the fact that someone is actually doing " real work" instead of pumping up their biceps is a joy to see!..keep on keeping on brother!! Maybe toss in some bodyweight ex.. Or bands for high reps to compliment the bag work!!!
Question, once filled with water, if moving between two rooms can you take the tower part with the bag off and turn it on it's side to be rolled or will water come out, is there anything preventing the water coming out ?
I JUST picked up a free one that was left for curbside bulk trash pickup on a Church lot here in Topeka Kansas. Seems like pretty good shape, but I drained the water from it and after it dries out, I'll fill it with a couple of 40 pound bags of soft water treatment pellets, which is actually cheaper than "play sand".
@DEMCAD looks like a decent upper body workout. I ride bikes, so for the cold months i picked up a cyclops magneto trainer for legs.. just to maintain what I developed over the summer (rode two centuries this year). Only critical comment I can make is bracing it so it doesn't move, unless of course you want it to. If so I'd direct my punch force to make it go in a circle, or move laterally on it with the same results in mind, rather than going straight in. Doing that 30 minutes looks tough.
Great video considering getting this do you have water at the bottom would sand be better I want it to hold still as I punch I tend to go all out I find it's just not the same compared to bags hanging from a standing pole with weights. Are you satisfied with your purchase I'm in a ground level apartment at my moms house she has a bag and a pole but takes up so much space I do have a spare room but I'm still clearing out stuff. I'm scared to hang from the ceiling you know.
For those experienced in using heavy bags, how does this klind of bag compare to working out with a hanging heavy bag. I am interested in buying a bag and wondered if this is as good, better, or less than a hanging heavy bag.
A plus to it moving around on you is that you have to keep moving with it instead of just getting comfortable in the same spot. Also keep your hands up. You keep dropping your right and that is when you will get creamed. A speed bag will help you with that because it will strengthen your sholders so it will make it easier to keep your arms up. Also try to jab 3-4 times before you use your power arm.
hey did you end up breaking that freestanding bag? i can only use heavy bags that hang because the plastic cracks or something breaks on these freestanding ones. boxing/ kickboxing is a great full body cardio work out no matter how good you are at it.
Hey bro can u showme how to assembly my punching bag? Coze I lost my manual when I moved please ... And I don't remember how the washers go right thanks
Reminds me of Rocky 2 when Mr. T was working out in his basement :-) Here's a tip though, if you're right handed lead with your left & visa versa. Get yourself one of those winding kitchen timers that do not take batteries, set it for 3min. That's how long each round is in a boxing match. Keep at it D!!!
Your speed and aggression is pretty good Demcad, but if you really wanna start working on technique for instance.. you have take minute or so inbetween and breathe fresh air (Qi), switch legs and go to the other side or you'll get cramps. Go alittle slower cus those are mostly jabs with lunges you're throwing. You want to get your feet to start pivoting a bit with your punches. That's all i can say cus i'm still learnin myself.
@DEMCAD Good video. I would like to recommend a couple of books; The Tao of Jeet Kune Do and the Bruce Lee Street Fighting Method. They start with the very basics of the proper way to make a fist, to the unorthodox method of fighting south paw if you are right handed. If your right arm and leg are the strongest and quickest, make them do most of the work. Great channel by the way.
Perfect training hight for punching average size people like me. 5'9. Sheeet! watching your running videos, I thought I could out run you.. but at 6'3?, I don't know now. You're a man to be feared I tell you. A man to be feared.
