Hi ! From my perspective it is a good choice for the price. You just need check that this kit fit your n47 engine. + There are some stuff like Oil Filter Housing Gasket. + third chain oil pump drive.
This kit looks good but the guides are bad. I have this in my car with only 40000kms on it and the rubber inserts on the chain guides have broken down and all the little pieces of rubber have blocked my oil suction pipe causing low oil pressure.
@Assimilator1 Yes the rubber in the guides disintegrated and went to the sump, I have lots of pictures. This cause the low oil pressure on engine startup when it blocked the oil pickup. There was no chain noise and very little wear on the guide surface. It's a known problem with these kits and the BMW kit just Google low oil pressure on start up.
@@YuRokit i can buy whatever brand there is but not bmw ones (its just a simbol for higher prices), i wanted to know what revision it is and what brand is the best to not have to do chain again! If you change for a good one it doesn't have to be changed again correct?
@@pav1u Yes, it's correct! I don’t know exactly what version it is, but BMW has started using triangles in original products since 2019. That means triangles talk about improvements. Chain will be stronger. And triangles has only IWIS= Febi/Swag and BMW original. We have 3 options: 1.hepu, Skf, inna are cheap brands without Treangles. 2. swag, febi are mild brands and have triangles 3. Bmw is like a premium. It has triangles, but there is hight price. And to answer your question i would rather febi/swag.
Beware of those aftermarket hydraulic tensioners. The febi chains and guides don't look bad to me, but the tensioners would be better to put original from the manufacturer.
Hi! Depends on how much money you will be able to spend. Full original kit got price about 1000$. This Febi for 350$ fills like reliable option. Iwis chains are here into febi and into original boxes. I don't think so iwis gonna do special chains for BMW. This kit is well considered. I wanna say it gonna be result of blind fate. From my perspective I did not spend much money and I hope I will have average quality. It gonna be enough for 100000 miles.
@@Assimilator1 Hello! There was label iwis on the chain. Febi the chains are always labeled with iwis. I had my febi kit 174020 for b47 engine. It was labeled too.
