Review - Fiat Barchetta '95 

Thanks very much, they're quite rare in continental Europe, so I can only imagine how rare they must be in the UK. The colour does add something special doesn't it? It was only available from 96 to 2000 so you don't see it very often.

Car Journey I will let you know for sure. Yes I enjoyed your other videos on the Barchetta - I will check for the windows fitting correctly. If the car isn’t right I’m also considering an Alfa GTV or 916 Spider but for now I’m hoping the Barchetta looks good. Cheers

@@MarcsGarage Thanks very much, there's also a couple of dedicated website for the Barchetta, which show the history of it with lots of information about the origin and the production models. I would love to see what your take on it would be, but unfortunately my Spanish is, no bueno ;).

First off, are you sure there isn't any rust on underside? If you can't see the car in person then that's really something to take into account. I'm about 1.94m and I fit in snugly but fine.

yeah got one 10 years ago. now im bying one again after driving a mercedes slk for some years. unfortunatly there are only a few good ones on the market and i dont want to end up with a failed engine like 10 years before. some spare parts are getting rare

@@wurstbrotverdrescher It's indeed starting to get quite rare. And also a very difficult car to let ;). I hope you find a good one, In the next episode there there will be some pointers on what to look out for, from my brief experience with my example.

De mijne had nog wel wat punten(zoals in de laatste video te zien is). Het is in ieder geval belangrijk om te kijken of de koppakking nog goed is door de vloeistoffen goed te controleren. Kijk ook goed naar het dak en de rubbers of deze goed aansluiten met het raam, dit hoeft niet 100% te sluiten, maar is wel een bekende issue. Naast dat controleer de dorpels en de vloer voor roest, net zoals alle auto's van die leeftijd. Het klinkt als een hoop, maar als je hier naar kijkt dan heb je een paar bekende knelpunten gecontroleerd. Naast dat is het gewoon een hele bijzondere leuke auto, met onderdelen die nog goedkoop en goed te verkrijgen zijn. Dus laat dat je niet tegenhouden 👍🏼

Bedankt voor de aanvulling 👍. 2400 voor één met 51.000 km laat wel weer zien dat de auto behoorlijk ondergewaardeerd wordt.

Uit ervaring kan ik zeggen, let op roest en onderhoudshistorie, het is mogelijk om een redelijk nette te kopen voor die prijs, maar let er vooral op dat de auto goed is onderhouden. Onderdelen zijn niet zo duur maar het kan wel snel oplopen. Je doet er waarschijnlijk goed aan om rond de 2250 te kijken om wat ellende te besparen. Dat heeft de mijne (na alle reparatie) mij ook gekost 😉.

I'm actually 1.94, and it's not that much of a squeeze as you might think. Like every Fiat from the 90's, this is also a magician with it's small dimensions
