The theme of climate change is even deeper, as Hades keeps Persephone longer underground because of his greed (for love), just as in our world climate change is mostly a result of greed (for money).
I'm in the US, and I'm seeing the touring production when it comes to my area next week. But the British cast sounds amazing too, and I'd love to get over there to see them. I agree with your comments on Donal. From the clips I've heard, his Orpheus sounds very likeable and makes you want to root for him.
I just felt your love and passion for this show! I already booked to see it, twice 😊. I´m sure I´ll want to see it multiple times! Can´t wait...still 2 weeks to wait for my first visit... way down
I’ve convinced two of my normie friends to go see West End Hadestown with me and I’m following a policy of not even mentioning Doubt Comes In at all so I can see the shock and heartbreak on their faces
I need to book tickets for Hades. Ellie, where would you suggest best place to sit please.. I can afford a good seat, but not top price. Btw you totally slayed Instagram with your Hades pics! 😊
Honestly the Lyric can be fairly rough for views so I'd recommend looking on the website SeatPlan to see the views from different seats. (thanks also for the instagram love - that's one of my favourites I've ever put together!)
I find the story almost too simple and basic, you could easily describe it to somebody in a couple of minutes. But the music is so so wonderful, it definitely has magic to it.
