Great video. I've just bought one for sorting some issues with my L322 Range Rover, the only drawback - and you encountered this yourself in the video - when you run the report and click on the DTC listed it doesn't do anything, even on the report that you email to yourself the DTC looks like it should be a hyperlink to some information but instead its just an empty javascript prompt. Whereas on the OBD2 function it will take you to information on the internet as you demonstrated. Hopefully a future software upgrade will fix this.

Cool tool! Try to do all kinds of "tricks" to your SLK. You will definitely need this kind of tool when you have 2000-> newer Benzs. And of course all other newish vehicles too! Older Mercedes will need that Mercedes Star Diagnostic system to do proper testing. But nice that it read at least basic codes, little bit worrying code that camshaft / crankshaft speed code, your timing chain might be getting too long...

A decent code reader tool is essential when working on Benz/BMW/Audi delinquents.

Just a thought. You may want to enable the Wi-Fi hot spot function on your cell phone if you haven’t done so already, and then the code reader may be able to send you e-mails even when you are to far from your router. It was interesting that it could connect to the internet to display information, but yet couldn’t send you an e-mail. I assume it needs your router’s id and password to connect.

Seems you might need an alternator on the SLK. Voltage barely recovered and certainly did not appear to charge.

These new readers on the market operate on Android, definitely a game changer.

Mike, have you done an adaptive relearn of a Ford Focus transmission with the 919E? I get to the first step and then my Launch freezes. On 2 Focuses I have now been unsuccessful with Launch and resorted to Forscan which worked beautifully. Less than impressed with Launch.

I think LAUNCH CRP 919 E is a Bidirectional Scanner. Does it do EGR Reset ? Doesbit do Fuel Pump scan for Fuel Pressure ? How about Compression test for Spark , Sparkplugs ? By the way that won't scan 2001 02 Toyota Camry they are not compatible. I asked LAUNCH before .

Mike, do you have a link to the storefront we can use the discount on, doesn’t give 30% off on the Amazon site, but there are a number of different companies selling on Amazon.

So this CRP919E and the CRP919X are both EU support only. It does not even come with a plug for USA voltage. You have to use the USB wall plug. Which is fine but for support you have to email overseas support. Have you had any issues with it not being able to update or connect with some US models?

Mike, what is better this scanner or the CRP919X? What are the differences? Thanks for the review. 👍

Wonder if you can disable the 2005 SOS analog system on the Benz. The Star from MB after been disable will show the SOS as not present. Can you do that with the Launch ?

Hey Mike, regular follower and subscriber of your channel! this may be totally inappropriate! also have followed auto auction rebuilds Randy for several years! for a while when you were doing your road trips he was putting out two video a day! But typically One a day for a couple years! occasionally with It’s family problems he’ll miss a day or when you guys are traveling for one of your road trips, never been any longer and he’s been off the air going on for days now! Totally unusual! He even said even with The family problems he would still be posting that he could not afford not to! so I am a little concerned! Is something really serious happening to him?

UNfortunately most of your current Benz lineup aren't OBD2. I think pre-2000 Mercedes aren't OBD2, very annoying.
