Great video and review. I had the DJI OM6 but the MIMO app was always putting my gimbal follow speed to FAST making the footage super shaky! I returned it and got this one. I do love the features and the tilt axis range…but I will say, I do miss the portability and instant start up of the DJI OM6 lol…this M6 with a iPhone 14 pro max can be quite heavy! I’m somewhat curious about the Insta360 flow. Keep up the good work
Yeah 🤣 the day I posted this video is when the 360 flow came out. Unfortunately I am too small of a channel to get a review unit from them so I will need to pick one up when I can scrounge enough money lol
Just an FYI - You can turn off the showing palm to take a photo/video on Samsung phones. Just go into camera settings (open camera, click gear icon), scroll to "shooting methods", and toggle off "show palm"
I just got rid of my Zhyun Smooth 5 because the Galaxy 22 Ultra was too heavy. I am waiting for the M6 to arrive and I will probably stick with either the native app of Filmic Pro. This a great video so subscribed.
Thank you so much for your support! If you are sticking with filmic pro then M6 is a great option! I am testing the insta360 flow currently and based ony testing you need to use the insta app for deep track vs M6 you dont and I actually would usey GoPro with it too
Great video and review my brother, I'm getting this in the mail today. Just some free friendly advice. The lighting in you studio is a little dim. Unless you are going for that effect.
Hey man thanks for the love and you made my day! I am glad someone is actually looking at my background as I put in some work on it lol. Thats great feedback and I will make some adjustments on my next video but yes I am kinda going for that mystery vibe! Thanks for the support and lmk your thoughts on this new gimbal!
I have a noise problem in my videos using this gimbal paired with samsung s23 ultra. Can you please help me with this issue. It sound like motor noise. Can you please help me
I have this gimbal and tried it for object tracking and sports videography. Actually, the ai tracking feature is one of its downsides since it detects so many objects in your surroundings. It is not fit for object tracking in a fast-paced environment.
So, I'm new to gimbals and just purchased/received this one. I tested it for about 10 minutes and it suddenly started beeping, displaying "overheat" and shut down. I felt the roll arm and it was HOT!! I let it cool off for about an hour+. Started it up again but just let it sort of sit on the tripod with minimal movement. Within less than 5 minutes, the roll arm was practically hot enough to fry an egg on again, it displayed "error" and shut off again. Am I right to assume this is a malfunction and likely a lemon or is there something I could be doing very wrong to cause this? I unlocked everything and as far as I can tell, I did as the instructions say.
The only time the gimbal would overheat like that is if the gimbal is very unbalanced. Assuming you balanced the gimbal properly and unlocked all latches, it sounded like a manufacturer defect to me. You know everything is unlocked if you can spin all the axis around. Only time I got the gimbal motor to feel warm is when I slapped on a gopro to test out and interestingly enough when it's unbalanced or stressing out the motor, the ai tracker will not work. Hope this helps man
@@ToasterVentura Thank you for the reply. I watched the start up video and read the instructions and while I think I have it balanced, I'm not 100% sure it is. However, I started it back up with no phone on it and did minimal movement and it did it again. I later tried it without using the AI sensor and it was fine after 5 minutes. No overheat. So, I started the sensor back up and it was good for another 5 min but then the pan motor started shaking as it turned, suddenly. It no longer rotates smoothly, it is shaky/choppy and makes the entire thing wobble on the tripod and I didn't change anything with the way it was balanced when I did it and I did a calibration before all of this.
Oh, and I forgot to mention that I did have everything unlocked and I'm even getting that shaking motion on the pan when I have a phone connected or not.
This one has a build in phone clamp. The my big phone fit fine on the gimbal and even with wireless audio receiver on it I can balance it just fine and my phone was 250 grams.
Yes you can in the Hohem app. You can choose object tracking or people tracking. Just draw a green box around the object in the app. This is useful for non human type tracking shots.
It's not very good in low light, keep that in mind because I think it is just visual based tracking and can get confused if more than one subject is in frame.
There is a Facebook group for the M6. One day someday posted a hack ( link to Hohem) for the M6 which allows me to shoot 4K/60fpm. I still am using the native app for my Galaxy s22 m6 Ultra because it is easier. I bought the M6 remote which I haven't used it yet because I can't find the directions. I also haven't used the AI accessory yet. My question is does the AI recognize the hand gestures form the back of the phone because I want to be able to shooting selfies using the better cameras. I need the best quality for stock videos I am already subscribed. .
It shoots 4k 60 on my Galaxy fold 3 but not my note 20 ultra which is weird. Maybe have something to do with the chipset? Just guessing here. The AI tracker works regardless of your phone which is why it’s unique. I popped a GoPro on the m6 and it tracked just fine lol. Ai tracking is hardware based which is separate from your phones camera!
@@ToasterVentura Love my 22. I'm testing the AI today. I haven't tried it yet. I tried the gimbal with a running test video and it's amazing how stable it is. The 4k videos are sharp on the 22. I have been using Blackbox for my stock videos and i've sold a few clips. They upload the clips about 5 or or 6 sites. My portfolio is only about 900 clip
No overheating on my end and I had the gimbal on for like 20 plus min straight. Did you balance the gimbal properly and what phone are you using? The one time the tilt motor got warm is when I fit my GoPro on there
I opened my gift today, after installing app and reading and looking at videos, first I got error 03 then overheating Trying to figure it out what’s causing this by searching but I haven’t found any answer. If you get the chance to see this comment I’d appreciate your suggestion. Thank you
@elositalia is this gimbal balanced properly? If might be too tilted to one side causing the gimbal motor to overwork. I just balanced it on my m6 today with iPhone 15 pro max and Samsung note 20 ultra no problem
What the pan range when holding the gimbal handle parallal to the ground? Can it do 90 degrees to the side, or will the camera hit the back of the gimbal?
Hey sorry took so long, I assume you mean in flash light mode? just tested with my samsung note 20 ultra and i would say max 65 degrees before it goes into vertical mode (Portrait). The gimbal is smart enough not not let the phone hit the gimbal arms.
