My washer conked out this week. Bought the house with an old Bosch the previous owner left for us. Was scared I wouldnt find one for a while as everyone is closed right now for Coronavirus lockdown in NJ. They said a delivery would take 4 weeks right now. Went to Lowe’s to see if there were any open box returns and low and behold found this baby sitting in a sealed box brand new listed as special order return clearance. WTF? This was obviously a mistake but def loaded it up and cashed out. Out the door with my military discount....wait for it..... $604! I couldn’t believe it. Watching it wash my comforters on steam cycle wash right now! Could barely get it down the basement! Had to maneuver but got it done! ❤️
I have the 5.0 version only because the 5.2 model wasn't out yet we love It! Towels, jeans, whites, and dark colors can now be done in 1 load! Bedding depending size aka King, Queen, etc. 2 loads
Thanks for the review Eugene. I actually have the cheaper model and I didn’t like it at first but now I love it. It uses very little water that I’m always impressed on how clean my clothes come out. I also have the matching sidekick that goes with it which is great as well.
I'd like to see the LG Wm3900 on the cotton/normal cycle with turbowash active on cold temp. Just power on the machine, turn the dial once, hit the temp button 3 times, then hit start.
While LG WM9000 washer may be "one of the largest front-load washers that you can buy" at 5.2 cubic feet of claimed capacity, LG Signature WM9500 has got to be a standout at 5.8 cubic feet of claimed capacity, which is over 11.5% larger. It is expensive, though. Would it be feasible to test an LG SideKick™? It is compatible (in three sizes) to most front-load LG washers currently on the market.
I bought this machine in Jan 2020. I like being able to wash my king size bedding in it which my smaller machine couldn’t handle very well. My only complaint so far is that the small door on the lower left to access the filter is very flimsy. You are supposed to clean the filter monthly but that door probably won’t last more than a few years.
@@chrisginoc Love it so much! I love washing clothes and grew up with a wringer washer and no dryer doing clothes the old fashion way. I would definitely buy this again - no buyers remorse. If you have the room and don’t mind spending the extra $$ then go for it. It’s really convenient to be able to do fewer bigger loads, both washer and dryer work great. They are bigger machines so be aware of that.
Two things I would like. 1. Explanation of exactly what is being done for each of those many wash cycles. Basically why would you really choose one over the other. What is it (really) doing differently ? 2. I want to see one of these machines with a button to select (maximum water level) so you could dial up the water usage in demand.
I have the 2.7 cu ft model, I have even tried washing a blanket. It can be done if you fold it properly, but you have to fill some extra water. The problem people have with their washing machine is always that they use 'cold water', or the wrong detergent. Persil hygiene powder, or Tide Bleach Plus powder, with Persil Color(or similar) in the prewash at 60°C(140°F) and you can wash all colored & white cotton clothes with it. They also rinse your clothes in the 'main' wash which makes the fabric softener to do its job much better. You get 4-5 cycles worth of cleaning by using liquid prewash detergent and for white powder detergent concurrently at 60°C. Liquid detergent degreases and penetrates the fabric, TAED powder cleans and rinses it, fabric softener sets a new hand to the fabric. Nothing beats it.
Man that thing is huge. The Whirlpool I have 4.5 cu ft.and I think that's huge . I'm single and it takes a while to get a good size load of laundry up.
Get a rinsing detergent like tide bleach plus, or persil hygiene powder. It 'strips' detergent residue leaving no trace, but wash at 60°C(140°F) for maximum mild cleaning, lower temperature increases oxygen content and acts like oxygen bleach.
These are advertised as "stackable" but I've not been able to find any examples where people have actually stacked them. Did you try to stack this with the matching dryer or do you think it's even something that would be useful for saving some side-by-side space?
I currently own a Samsung front load washer and its bigger than that machine, mines is 5.6 cubic feet. The reason I have it because I wash large loads like my family's clothes and work clothes, and I wash comforters as well. I always use the warm water though.
@@thej762000 ummm mine is not making noises, you're thinking of Samsung top load washers that's making that type of sounds, I have a front load washer from them and it runs great. I have no idea what you're talking about
Can anyone plz help me i have one of those but it start making some kind off grinding as it spins does enyone knos or had any issues similar to mine kind of like want to have it fix but i dont kno what its causing that noise?? Plz help me
It seems you get what you paid for. Only I hope they have used a better Suction pump motor this time. Not the crappy one that fails soon. And time only should tell that. Good review.
Both are amazing, and the quality is something I haven't seen in a long time! So glad that LG continues to do a great job making washers and dryers. They are really built to last.
Hi , I was looking for reviews on these washers that I’ve been wanting to buy . My question is I live in a duplex in the 2nd floor do you recommend these washers ??? Are they really quiet??? Do they vibrate really hard that will shake the whole unit ??? Or scared my neighbor downstairs.
@@SirtubalotTX I'm in the market for new washer and dryer and basically am debating myself between the lg wm9500hka vs wm9000hva, and the corresponding dryers. The difference in price for the combo is probably around $1200. Honestly, I doubt I can justify that difference just for the bigger capacity in my personal case, but I'm wondering if there is something else that I might be missing...
@@SirtubalotTX family of five with two small kids. We tend to separate our loads from the kids. Once a week we load all the bedding sets in house and maybe another load of clothing.
Don’t buy this washer machine or the dryer compatible to this one because they are to expensive and they stop all the time, the jumbo cycle doesn’t work without stopping, the crumbs still stay on the clothes, my Maytag didn’t use to leave crumbs or pieces of debris in the clothes like grass or when kids vomit it will not get off. Dryer seems to stop at every half way of the cycle. I’m so disappointed 😢
