I have been wanting to Review this Aircraft since first seeing it and Banggood was kind enough to send one for Review!
This Mustang looks awesome especially with the paint scheme.
It's called a Mini but I would categorize it as a Micro.
It's made of EPP Foam which should make it very durable.

I had (7) LIPOs that fit this plane so I put all (7) battery packs through this plane after performing the Maiden Flight ;-) I will be posting Flight #2 tomorrow and hopefully Flight #3 on Thursday. I wanted to better demonstrate this Plane in Manual Mode and it's an absolute blast! hi mate do you fill in anything in your keyword section? i checked metadata of this vid and it's not saying related to this RC plane that's also another keyword that shut be at least in the title if not at the beginning then at the end you can use a 100 for your title use the max titles keywords are the strongest and get your video to show up in more places on youtube same as the first 2 a 3 lines in description shut seclude most of your keywords to have a positive effect on the number of views you get just a few tips hope you see the benefits straight away if you apply them the upcoming videos and make a SERIES playlist for each different plane you have to give a bigger boost and then a normale playlist too that you add a few videos too every day to get double the boost that's my biggest trick PLAYLISTS the more views the more traffic you send to banggood the more present they send you :D

Thank you very much! I performed a couple more flights in Manual Mode and they will be posted tomorrow and Thursday ;-) The controls are pretty sensitive in Manual Mode but after a few flights I was getting more comfortable with it. You'll love this plane as it has the best Thrust-to-Weight Ratio of any of the Brushed Motor Systems I've used so far. See you in the Air!

Hi Carl! It's a great flying P51D and that Red Tail, Nose, and Wingtips helps quite a bit with orientation. The only weak point is the landing gear. I just replaced a strut after finally breaking one ;-) See you in the Air!

This one is a really fun plane, and although it's a brushed power system this plane shouldn't have any problem carrying a micro FPV Camera. It has very good power for a brushed motor system. Hehehe...one of the other reasons I wanted to review this plane is I thought it would be a very good candidate for a future Brushless Conversion ;-) See you in the Air!

@@GroundControlRC Looks like it has plenty of power now but there is always room for more. I like the tough gearbox and prop design, I have lost too many small planes to nose damage

@@hambone4779 , I agree! There is always room for more Power ;-) This Plane has the best Thrust-to-Weight Ratio of any Plane I've flown with a Brushed Motor. I was very surprised at how this Plane could pull through Loops ;-)

What’s your favourite large park flyer? Over 750mm. Able to handle some wind. One that can be transported easily. You do great reviews and I like the way you think about parts availability when making a recommendation. Also, the prop balancing tip for small props like on this one was great. I tried it on my sport cub.

Thank you much Micaela! I would have to say my favorite Plane over 750mm is the Fun Cub 1100mm Kit. With the Motor, Prop, and ESC I selected it can pull vertical and climb. It's extremely stable, without a gyro, has excellent Slow Flight capability, and is very Aerobatic for a Bush Plane. With the components I selected it's also very inexpensive ;-) The Main Wing is easily detached for transport. Since it's a fairly large Plane, compared to what I usually fly, it can handle some wind.

I've had the spitfire and Corsair from the series of their warbirds and they are great the fly great have different personalities in looks but also how they fly need to get the whole range

These Micro Warbirds are a lot of fun. I've only had the opportunity to test out the P51D Mustang and the F4U Corsair until recently. I definitely preferred the P51D over the F4U for performance, stability, and power. I'm currently finishing up a review of the Eachine Mini P40 WarHawk and I think it may be my favorite out of the three. It doesn't have the power of the P51D but I think it's a more stable plane once you get the CG and Control Linkage setup Much Fun ;-) See you in the Air!.

When you reset the gyros does it matter if you have it sitting with landing gear on or off with the difference in angle it rests at. I will be flying without gear so want to make sure the plane will fly level with no assist.

That's a very good question and I'm just not sure about that. You usually want the aircraft in the attitude for level flight when the gyros spin-up or are reset. I would reset the gyros and then hold the plane in a level attitude for flight and see if all the control surfaces are at neutral when in gyro mode. If they are at neutral then you're golden ;-) See you in the Air!

Just received my order of this bird. I'll say it looks great out the box. Pretty well set up but definately worth checking the surfaces before flying. My one aileron was slightly off. Pinch or open the link to get eye in trim. This little devil will get away from you fast.

Hehehe...it sounds like you like it ;-) Once of the funnest Micro Planes I've flown. It is fast and has the best thrust to weight ratio I've seen on a plane with a brushed motor power system. See you in the Air!

Hi, thanks for your videos. I bought this little plane and it is super fun to fly. One problem I have is after I have used up one battery and as soon as i connect the second all the controls stop functioning properly even if I bind everything new again. All rudder movements are delayed and the throttle is almost uncontrollable. Any thought or advise would be much appreciated.

That is odd. I would try binding this in Expert/Manual Mode and see if the same thing happens without the Gyro interfering with the controls. If that seems to work OK and even if it doesn't try re-calibrating the Gyro. You can re-calibrate the gyro by powering on the plane on a flat surface. Power on your transmitter in Beginner Mode. Do not Arm the Motor after it is bound. Move both Sticks to the very bottom and outward so both sticks are at the fullest extent at the bottom outside corners of the transmitter. You will here a Beep letting you know Calibration was successful. See if that fixes the issue. You might also want to check and make sure no Trims are set on the transmitter. Let me know and I'll see if I can figure something else out.

What type of connector is on the battery? Trying to find a charger that can charge multiple batteries something that's plug and play

Been eyeing this plane all weekend at Banggood. It's a great deal but is pretty small. I've got the Volantex 761-4 cub which has a 500mm wingspan and its a handful in manual mode. BTW, if you have a multiprotocol transmitter you should be able to bind&fly your Mustang using protocol v761. You'll have to program ch5 to switch the stabilization modes. Great review! Thank you much! I'm having a lot of fun with this Plane but yeah, Mini and Micro Planes are definitely a bit more of a handful than scale planes for sure. I think with a bit of expo this Plane would be fairly easy to fly in Manual Mode. I also wanted this plane because I see a Brushless Conversion in it's future ;-) I'm hoping I can get one of the Jumper Transmitters in 2020 if I can work it into my budget so I can fly all these Toy-Grade Aircraft with that and use my Devo 8S for the Hobby-Grade stuff. So, are you going to pull the trigger on this Plane? I think, as far as Factory Planes, it's one of the best values I've seen. See you in the Air!

I was actually eyeing the 750mm p51d that Volantex makes. Banggood has it for $115.90 RTF! Oh, but how about their shipping ...are you ready....$86.30...and that's from the US! I'm sorry but Banggood's the last place I do business with. Unfortunately, they are the only one's that carry it so I'm waiting till its available somewhere else. I really like Volantex's stabilization system. It's one of the best in my opinion. The little p51 is too tiny for my old eyes😁

@@bert1058 , I don't know what is going on with some of their shipping prices. Someone is definitely dropping the ball as they only list expedited shipping on some of these items. I have sent them an email regarding one of the items I was looking at and they took care of it and posted other options besides expedited shipping. If they don't get the person who is responsible that stuff straightened out they're going to lose a lot of sales. The 750mm looks very nice indeed ;-) Hehehe...I just checked the PNF version and it's $108.99 and $1.30 Shipping from China ;-) Someone has really messed up on the shipping info.

Where do you put the tape on the motor or the propeller?

Good question. The tape will go on One Prop Blade. When I run up a brushed motor and prop and I can feel vibration I can't tell which Prop Blade is light. So I start by putting a small strip of Painters Tape or Masking Tape on one Prop Blade. I run the Motor up again and if I have less Vibration I know I have the Correct Blade. If the Vibration is worse I have the Wrong Blade and I move the Tape to the other Blade. When you run up the Motor again there should be less Vibration. Now, to fine tune this Prop Balancing I will move the Tape by a small amount toward the Center of the Prop. If this makes it worse, I will move the Tape by a small amount toward the end of the Blade. I continue this process until I have as much Vibration removed as possible.

Could you please share with me a photo of the screws and size so I could try to buy them locally? I am contact you because the seller and Eachine were both unable to tell me that. When you do the gyro reset should you have the wheels on or off as it will be at a different angle ?and does it save the setting or needs to be done every time ?

Hi Jason! I leave the wheels on and test to see if it holds it's position when the stick is centered. If it climbs when the stick is centered I lift the tail a bit when the gyro initializes. You should only have to re-calibrate the gyro when the plane is climbing / diving or drifting left / right. See you in the Air!

Good question ;-) The Volantex Sport cub 500, The Eachine Mini P51D, and the Eachine Mini F4U Corsair all have the same Brushed Motor Power System as far as I can tell. They have the best Thrust-to-Weight Ratio of any Brushed Motor Power System I've flown so far and that make them extremely fun to fly.

I suppose 380mah and 500mah battery size might fit in this plane .

Good question George! I have used 380mah and 400mah LIPOs in this Plane. As long as it will fit in the Battery Bay I think you'll be good to go. The JJRC 1S 400mah LIPO I use is a tight fit, but they work ;-) See you in the Air!

Yeah, this plane has very slow rolls and nice power for loops and split-s maneuvers ;-) I think I'm going to increase the rudder a bit for better rudder turns. It's a great plane for the price. See you in the Air!
