What Mags are compatible with this blaster. bought it for my son and he obviously wants to be able to have more than one. I know in the video he mentions it but there is no link or info for a complete newb that doesn't want to buy the wrong one.
Even the new N strike Elite guns are the same, the delta trooper is the best gun to explain this, The retaliator looks better, better ergonomics, better grip, better attachment better everything
Nerf: Releases Alpha Strike line Also Nerf: “Hey, these blasters saved us a ton of manufacturing money... let’s make everything like this but not drop the price which was the whole reason people put up with it! 😃”
@@skylarmccune9242 Not Dart Zone, but the Air Warriors Brute is a thing that exists and offers much the same performance as the Rapidstrike/Turbine at about half the cost.
At this point it feels like Hasbro just doesn't care about the quality of their products. As long as it "looks cool" it's going into production no matter how frustrating to play it can be due to bad design or just to save some little cents.
@@gazoofio yes, i agree with that. If they had made them with screws and made them like every other blaster in elite, and upped the performance, they really could be elite 2.0
A Human 2 in my opinion I dont really like the looks, I liked the N-Strike to N Strike Elite 2016 era of Nerf when the grips were comfortable and had finger grips and the paint jobs were done on TWO sides
I love the turbine. Insane fire rate. There is basically no delay between pulling the trigger and firing. And it looks sweet. Kinda like a UMP-45. The only problem is the magazine release. I have to use the thumb of my firing hand to press it. Probably the best elite 2.0 blaster.
Can we all take a step back and realise how better coop is looking? He seems to really have worked to better his health and I have so much respect for his ability to do that and keep doing it.
Elite 2.0: hey bro can I copy your homework (blaster) Elite: sure just change it a little so the teacher (nerf fans ) don't notice Elite 2.0: (makes cheap versions of existing nerf blasters... Also super glued it shut hiding le jolt inside)
Im just gonna put my two cents here - most of the problems of the elite 2.0 series could be fixed if they just *didnt seal up the blasters completely.* Back when i bought my Helios, it didnt take long for it to completely seize up, so much so that i needed to take it apart and lock a certain piece in place to fix it. Afterwards, i havent had a single problem with it. If it was elite 2.0, i would not be able to do this. Not only that, but the absolute most basic kind of cosmetic mod, painting the blaster, is best made when its taken apart. Again, elite 2.0 blasters are sealed up, preventing any kind of modding whatsoever. Combine that with all the other horrible blunders of individual elite 2.0 blasters, and the only question that comes to mind is "what were they thinking!?".
@@mrsoisauce9017 yep. Honestly its just so annoying. I heard someone in tgis comment section say that off brand blaster companies are beating nerf at its own game
@@josefsieffen18 yeah. Dart Zone is actually great. I got a $5 dart zone 4 shot revolver (top prime) and its fricking awesome. Even when i left it primed for a whole day it still worked great. Dart Zone is about to become the new nerf
I would purchase this blaster, the only problem is the magazine, magazine release and the jam door, so I find it very sad that nerf are making their products go backwards instead of forwards in terms of how it was built.
I just purchased the Phoenix and it isn't too bad. The jam door isn't really used much and works just fine. The mag release does take a bit of getting used to though and still is bad after that. I'll probably be picking one of these up just for the rate of fire over the Rapidstrike.
I purchased this blaster the other day, and it is brilliant. A few minor jams, but other than that it works well. I deal with the magazine by pushing the top of the release button with my index finger. Mildly annoying, but with practice it is a masterpiece of a blaster
@@CreativeUsernameHere-r1k Access/jam doors aren't screwed on any blaster. They are actually clamped between the two halves of the shell not just push fit in like they are on this 2.0 rubbish.
The mag release does have a plastic "leaf sprig" that is way too stiff. I made it much nicer to use by cutting off the plastic "spring" part then glued a small compression spring onto the back of the mag release catch that pushes against the inside/back of the mag release button. There is a vid on YT about it, search for nerf turbine mag mod or something. Like Frank said, the position isn't a big deal, it's the fact that the button is so hard to press, and doing this mod makes it quite comfortable in my opinion. Oh BTW, you will need to split the blaster open, which sucks a bit in comparison to older blasters as there are clips holding the halves together (mine didnt have any glue, may be because its an Australian model?). But to be honest, with a thin flat-head screwdriver for prying the seam apart and releasing the clips, then a wider screwdriver for tweaking and holding the halves apart, its not that big a deal, it's just a new skill you need to learn to mod Nerf blasters (I would obviously prefer all screws still!). PS: The blaster does feel and is much cheaper (to manufacture) than older models. The tac-rail buttons are all part of the shell, so if that breaks it's a very tricky fix, all the plastic leaf springs instead of actual springs are cheaper but not as smooth and the clips that hold the blaster together are obviously cheaper to mold into the shell and just clip together than having separate screws that need to be installed by someone or something. PPS: The grip on this blaster is not very .... human compatible. It has a lot of unnecessary sharp angles etc compared to its "predecessor" the rapidstrike or other older models.
Addy Liew they lost our respect ever since they glued the 2 shells of elite 2.0 blasters together. Its like they’re trying to say, ‘Hey! Is your blaster broken? Well fck you, can’t repair it this time, buy another one from us!’
In. Summary: A blaster with a lots of tactics. Full automatic, shoots relative hard. Without the most comfortable magazine release, actually the magazine release sucks. By the way, the magazine that’s included with the blaster sucks, it provokes a lots of jams. A good blaster, but the rapid strike still winning. Pd: si encuentran incoherencias con la gramática inglesa es porque soy un niño de 12 años que esta practicando su ingles.... eso :)

I just bought 6 nerf original 18 magz, and all of them tend to jam halfway. The solution i found that help quite a bit is, just filled it until 16, not 18 darts.
The first gun I ever watched a coop review for, cuz I discovered this channel backs. Few years when my parents kinda sworn off buying nerf blasters, but they softened up on that
I got this blaster for christmas and i've had it for about 5 months. I agree that the magazine release is trash but when you get used to it its not so terrible at all. I recommend it for like inside nerf wars and i have dominated me and my friends games with this blaster so yeah. Thats just my opinion.
If anyone wants to open a 2.0 blaster but is concerned about damaging it is suggest watching Captain Xavier's video where he tested several tools trying to open up these things you can use cellphone repair kits or car trim removal tools there both cheap on Amazon and work really well although when it comes to solvent welds he hasn't tried to open one with that yet.
Imagine someone in HASBRO was assembling the Echo, thinking it would work, then clicking it together, then trying to shoot only to realise, it did not work
I would like to see more Nerf Combos videos, Elite 2.0 seems like the perfect series to revive the Nerf Combos series with all the Tac rails and stuff. Even though the Blasters aren't as good as they can be, at least they look cool (minus the fact that there are very few of these Metallic Blue colored attachments)
I mean, there are only so many blaster ideas available. They have to recycle old ideas sometimes because of the limits of what they're actually making.
I bought one (I'm sorry, I had to) and it performs really well. The mag does not have any problems and I do the mag release with the thumb of my firing hand, it works pretty smooth.
I know I'm late to the party but I've had a Turbine for the better part of a year now and here's my two cents: It's absolutely fantastic. Lays down the firepower while allowing me to attach all my tacti-cool zip tie flashlights, foregrips and scopes. However, I have 2 complaints: The barrel lug is tilted to the side so if I equip a barrel attachment the darts fly off to the left. Noticeable and annoying. The mag release isn't the best. While mine is nowhere near as bad as Coop's is, I definitely recommend using your thumb to push on the TOP part of the mag release. The bottom part of the mag release require so much pressure and actually hurts.
I bought this blaster today and im pretty satisfied with it. Didnt have any jams and malfunctions including the mag and the rate of fire is so very poggers. But holy damn im a smol kid and this is my first mag fed flywheel blaster so i didnt think abt the magazine release. I literally have to put down the blaster and use two hands to take out the mag
Solution for the mag release issue: Get your finger out of the trigger guard, press the side of the mag release with the tip of your finger. They placed the pivot point strangely up, so you can't just push the whole thing inward to release the mag, you have to push farther up.
For those wondering what the Turbine’s Rate of Fire is: it’s around 4 to 4.5 DPS (Darts Per Second) or 240-270 DPM (Darts per Minute) So it’s initially in the middle between the Rapidstrike’s 3 DPS (180 FPM) and the Hyperfire’s 5 DPS (300 DPM).
I was always pretty casual with Nerf and never did any big mods (literally only springs), so I got one of these out of boredom today without worrying about it being hard to open. The only thing that bothered me about it was the crappy mag release, so I just decided to cut it off. Seriously. I literally just took a box cutter and sliced off the mag release tab most of the way off in the mag well. I left a little bit of it in to provide a little friction in case the mag wanted to fall out, it’s so short now that the mag just slides over it anyway. I can’t attest to the consistency between different blasters, but mine grips the mag so tight anyway that the mag lock and release are completely unnecessary. The detector lock that locks the flywheels without a mag is firm enough to hold it in by itself, it clicks in and out anyway when a mag is pushed into or pulled out of the gun, so the lock and release are functionally redundant. The detector lock alone holds the mag tight until I yank on it. I can shake the blaster and it won’t fall out, and all it needs now is a firm tug to pull the mag out, I completely ignore the awful release now.
@@josefsieffen18 I personally don't have any good reasons to buy or pre-order the MA40. It costs 50-60€ and I don't play Halo anyway. Even it looks super cool as a bullpup style blaster
I think the turbine would be useful especially in CQB game types, as you said it’s lighter and smaller, making it quick to whip around corners, add in a 30 or 25 round drum magazine filled with waffle head darts, and bam battle effective blaster.
With this particular blaster I always reload by grabbing the magazine with my fingers on one hand and using my thumb on the same hand to push down the release. It’s a lot less painful and actually feel kind of cool even if it takes a lot longer.
That’s what I do as well, I don’t mind the new magazine release but it’s just how you release it because like most people they use their trigger finger which is painful and harder which is why they get mad but they can also use your technique because it’s pretty much the same as the old magazine release
Nerf: WHAT SHOULD WE DO TO MAKE COOP SATISFIED? Underpaid employee: mabye we should make a new rapidstrike Nerf: THATS AN AMAZING IDEA SOMEONE GET THIS MAN A RAISE
@Just a Normal channel No, just no. I can't even... this comment makes no sense for multiple reasons. Surely it's a reshell of a firestrike except it's flywheel powered, mag fed and fully automatic. 🤔🤪
This is honestly the best stock elite ammo blaster out there with the fastest firing rate of all, if the the mag release was quick fixed. With a fixed release, it is a cool blaster. Oh yeah, this is considering I completely forgot the clip and glue problem.
When you said “clipped together” what did you mean by that? I haven’t used an elite 2.0 blaster yet, but if I were to get one and try to mod it, would it just be more difficult to open or downright impossible? Is it possible to use a hot knife to cut through the plastic clips and/or glue? Thanks!
Its solvent welded, meaning that you have to actually break it to open it up, potentially damaging it beyond repair. So if you ever have a problem with the internals, you aren't able to fix it, your only option is to buy a new one, which is exactly what they want you to do.
It's not necessarily the barrel material, I think it's the seal with the plunger tube that metal barrels create. It has a similar effect to how rifle barrels work in that it makes the blaster more air efficient, therefore increasing velocity and by proxy increasing accuracy.
@@narenthebeesechurgerman422 you guys are overreacting this very well would have been better if the mag release wasnt bad It has a faster rate of fire, it's more compact, and if you say "the hyper fire also is faster" the hyperfire didn't even hit the wall in the firing demo Coop even said that if not for the mag release, this would have been better
@@ethanzhang5198 the mag release isn't the only issue, although it is a glaring one. The blaster is glued shut, just like all the other Elite 2.0 blasters, so even if you want to fix the mag release problem, you can't. If the blaster ever breaks, or if you want to mod it, you can't without seriously damaging the shell. Your only choice upon the blaster breaking is buying a new one, which is exactly what they want you to do. Its unforgivable, and a huge step backwards for Nerf
Fix the magazine release and put it in a traditional spot, fix the access door, and don’t glue the blaster together. If they had done that, I would have used this in all my games.
