Just like his reviews what he tells he's gonna do is also super precise. He told he'll return in February and today is the first day of February and he's back
@@ireneroldan7463 maybe it was a community or social media post because he doesn't mention leaving in his last video and I have a tablet so I cant see community posts
I’ve definitely seen some people at my arena run one of these as a secondary. One guy has one on a magnetic holster on his lower back. Another guy has a large holster on pretty much his entire thigh. Definitely requires some effort to use, but it absolutely can be done and it works very well in that role.
This isnt a secondary or primary... Its when you run out of ammo in your Primary and secondary, then the enemy advances so you whip it out off your back like a shotgun and you witness as they get malled by not a secondary or primary, but a badassery.
Cadet Frazier to be fair it’s just a Kronos with a shotgun style prime and room for three more rounds because the Kronos is just an easy design to replicate and put in a fancy new housing
I do realize that it’s a little old at this point, but I just bought a takedown. This is probably the most fun blaster I’ve ever bought, next to my raptorstrike and my perses. I love the way it feels and looks like a sawed off shotgun.
I love this blaster, never really had any issues with it, easy to revolver spin with some practice, I would use this as a secondary paired with my nexus pro, it’s easy to mod I currently have a laser and flashlight ducktaped on and it’s great, it shoots pretty hard and they don’t spiral. The laser is for hip fire since it doesn’t have a site
I love my Takedown! Everyone in my office has one, as well as a few other Rival guns, and we shoot each other all day long. One key thing I think you missed is firing it with your arm fully extended as if you were running around like Woody Harrelson in Zombieland. "KILL OF THE WEEK!"
As someone who only picked up a few low-end rival blasters for a school project, this is far and away the one I most enjoy using as a primary. It feels awesome to use and the speed of fire can really throw off anyone who isn't using a motorized blaster.
I really hope this comes to the UK, I love the Roughcut and this seems very similarly shaped. Drop it in a leg holster for whipping it out to deal with Supers if they're too prevalent to rely on a Kronos, but not enough to hoist around something bigger.
I actually liked shooting this more than the Hypnos. It fed more consistently and shot more accurately. The priming handle is more comfortable too, though it is too smooth. Great review as usual, Coop.
Yay you’re back. I like the way you comment more about the feeling of using the blaster and appreciate its uniqueness. Theres still rival charger, alternator, shellstrike, tracer to review. Looking forward to those. 👍
If you modify it with a much stronger spring and then you shotgun load, you can have it on a sling and when someone sneaks up on you, you can just freaking wreck them like a real sawed off shotgun
My thoughts based on the aesthetics and function of the blaster - It should be a 2 shot per prime blaster, with a 2 stage trigger like the rough cut, and it should have a sling mount on the grip. It would be an amazing secondary if that was the case.
6:50 yes that’s a valid fear. If you prime the blaster while pulling the trigger and release the trigger it will remain pulled back. While you are loading if the trigger is pressed it can slam back forwards on your finger. It will hurt but it won’t break your finger. I’d recommend loading while holding the slide with the handle pressed into your chest to relieve this fear.
Too late to comment this BUT found something out that may interest the hardcore fan of this blaster (mine arrived today and made a further testing procedure): Taking into consideration that you can shotgun-shoot this blaster, I found out you can load up to 3 rival rounds in the chamber per shot without losing too much performance. It is also possible to load a fourth round in the same shot but then the performance drops significantly. If you want really wide spread or multitudinous shots, you can load 2 3-rounded shots and one 2-rounded shot per load of this 7+1 Nerf blaster.
Being totally new to the rival line of blasters, this was my first foray and it was an absolute blast! Totally looking forward to chasing the kids around with these!
one thing i ve noticed while using takedown. It doesn`t have slamfire as coop had said, but if you try to use it, it would just feed one more ball in the chamber, but won`t be ready to fire. If you pump it up again after that it would have two balls ready to fire. shotgun feature. You can simply use that, cause it s faster than pressing the unjamming button
Just imagine how absolutely EPIC you would look at a war with a Hades as your primary, this thing painted with the Phantom Corps colors on a magnetic back holster, and a Kronos on a thigh holster
I really enjoyed using the Takedown as my Primary when my Uncle brought by all his Rival blasters so we could play some games in our backyard with tarps.
My brother got this gun for my 6yr old kid for Christmas. He loves it and we all do too. My best friend even came over today and had so much fun with it we went to target and he picked up one for himself. Fill up a few party balloons with just regular old human air and have fun blasting them fast pace around the room.
As a previous takedown owner, you can actually slam fire, and you dont have to load multiple ammo with your hand, you can do it with the loading part, also you can hold up to 5 or 6 if i remember.
Coop is this a good idea: Nerf need to make a”Blast paint series” lol. They take old blasters like the icon series dose and give them “tactical paint jobs”. I’ll pay more for both sides to be painted lol. I think it would be for beginners that don’t want to mod.
I found with mine that if you pump it once while holding the trigger down, and then pump it again without holding the trigger, you can shotgun load two shots really fast and easily.
I'm surprised it was only 88fps the one I have hits hard and accurately. The one thing I wish they would have are three angled Rival style stripes on the front as it stands it looks a bit too much like a toy. And 'Takedown XX-800' molded in so you at least remember it holds 8 rounds (the 800 number). The pump action grip is too slick but the lip is adequate. Overall for $20 I like it. It fills a niche in my blaster collection. I don't think I'll need the 38 or so inch Nerf Rival Saturn XX-1000 Edge 'hold still you sunuva b*tch pump action hunting rifle '. That one has slam fire but as you demonstrated the Takedown can be shot rapidly. This one isn't flying off the shelves but one people buy it because there's nothing else left I think they'll be pleasantly surprised.
Good to see you back, Coop! If I can suggest any blaster for the next review, I'd either pick the Firestrike or the ShellStrike DS-6 because I'm interested in buying both and would like an idea of if they're worth it or not. Stay tacticool!
Love the blaster, this is a great review My only problem is that the first one I purchased had severely damaged internals (cracked trigger, warped plunger tube, and a bit more) My second one still works great and runs perfectly
I'd use it as a sidearm where I can get to cqb and shotgun load it constantly, So if I run out of ammo in my primary I'd pull it out and **blast** **pump** **pump** **blast**
this is... personally my favorite rival out there, it's reliable, good range, easy to load, great capacity, you can shove more balls down the barrel for more of a shotgun-like feel. generally a very beautiful blaster for those who want to start nerfing. 9.7/10 would recommend, but there are of course, cons, first, the rail, there's two top tactical rails, one in front of the mag loading port, and one behind it, once you put something on the front rail, it's similar to the uncomfortable retaliator sight attachments on the barrel, not the priming handle, or on the back, if you have a large scope, it could block the internal loading port, overall, still a damn good blaster, 8-round internal mag foam flinging fun, pump action glory, and that sweet, sweet and beautiful shade of red, to wrap this all up, i gotta say; really fun blaster, but of course, as for all springer rivals, they hurt like BURNING HELL. and that's why i love this blaster, fun to torture your friends with! i only really came to this video to post my review, but, what the hell the rival series is arguably the BEST nerf series out there for new and experienced nerfers alike.
I had tried slam fire on my cousins Takedown and instead of firing balls it had loaded an extra 3 balls and when I pulled the trigger, it had shot 3 rounds from the barrel like a shotgun although shotguns shoot more rounds from the shell. That was the coolest experience i've had with that blaster.
It’s also worth noting that if you hold down the trigger and prime at the same time like you would for slam fire, you can shotgun load a lot more quickly than priming it and using the unjamming button
I bought a takedown as an impulse buy and it quickly became a favorite of mine. There's just something very satisfying about it's use. I also like to stuff my extra balls down the barrel just to blast a whole bunch at once. Certainly not a super competitive Nerf gun but great for keeping the nieces and nephews out of the pantry.
