Well... yes, the 900 and 650 have the same cranks, but they aren't 72mm... they are 74mm just like the 850. So good theory and comparison thoughts to the Chevy SB stroker, but doesn't really apply here. Better recheck your notes. The differences in the crank from the 850 are there, but one difference is not the stroke. The crank for the 650 and now 900 have the pork chops trimmed a bunch more than the 850. The 900 is based off of Carl's 900 big bore on the 850. Lots of folks retrofitting the 650/900 crank into the 850 to make it snappier... like the 9r is now. IndyDan even offers a mod to your stock 850 crank to make it like the 650/900 crank, takes 2.5lbs of rotating mass out of the crank assembly.
Ill believe it after people have got them and ridden them for 1k mi cause the SXS live valve needed 1500$ + more work with springs and valving to ride how it should from Factory. Polaris has a Long History of shocks that are out to lunch and i dont think this is the magical fix
Dont disagree BUT I can tell you this, in the snowmobile application they have been working on these more than 10yrs. Everyone we talked with REALLY liked it.
