Best comparison video I have ever seen so far! Would it be possible for you to keep doing these kind of comparisons and add more models once they come up (and of course if you can buy them :D ). I would love to see Oak-D-Pro (gen 2) compared to the cameras in this video too.

Thanks. I'm also interested in OAK-D Pro and will test it too if I get the sensor.

I'm looking for cheapish self contained RGBD cameras for close distance measurements; Are there alternatives to the D405? I only found the Oak-D-SR. I need to measure things between 10 and 40cm

If you are looking for RGBD camera 10-40cm range, D405 (7cm-50cm range) would be the only option as far as I know. OAK-D SR cannot measure the depth under 20cm according to the specification. docs.luxonis.com/projects/hardware/en/latest/pages/OAK-D-SR/#oak-d-sr

@@higrademechannel1243thanks! i could settle for 20 if need as a min, but it would be less convenient i'm realizing there really aren't that many rgbd cameras on the market

So you are saying that d455 is not a suitable camera for pick and place applications right?
@higrademechannel1243

Yes at least for this experiment. D455 looks more suitable for long range application.

I wonder how the new Zed X Mini would compare

@higrademechannel1243 3 месяца назад
Zed X series are hard to test . Normally, we have to use it with jetson.

what program was used to connect to the cobot
@higrademechannel1243
@higrademechannel1243 Год назад
In this video the robot isn't connected with PC and no program running since the robot doesn't move. Usually, when I want to move the robot, I use Python API of UFACTORY to control the robot.
