Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today we're gonna take a look at this etrailer 1-1/4" to 2" receiver-adapter with a 6-1/2" extension. This adapter is going to give you the ability to easily transform your 1-1/4" receiver to a 2" receiver and give you a 6-1/2" extension. This is gonna let you use your 2" hitch accessories such as your bike racks and cargo carriers, and that 6-1/2" extended length is going to allow your hitch mounted accessory to clear your bumper. Now, this adapter does not include the 1/2" pin and clip to secure it to your 1-1/4" hitch.
So that would be a separate purchase. We do have those options available here at etrailer.com. You would also need to provide the 5/8" pin and clip to secure your accessories. So again, if you do not have those compatible hitch-pin and clips, our, we, we do have those options available on our website. This is a sturdy steel construction with a matte black powder coat finish over a protective base coat.
So it is gonna give the same. It is the same finish that we use on our etrailer hitches to give you that superior rust resistance. If you already have one of our etrailer hitches on the back of your vehicle, this will be a perfect match. The maximum tongue weight is 350 pounds and it's important to note that when you use this extender it will reduce your hitches weight capacity by 50%. Now this is not to be used for towing.
It's just for your 2" accessories. And let me give you some overall measurements. The overall length, we are going to be sitting right at 10-1/2". And then the distance between our hitch-pin holes center to center. Let me line that up here for you a little bit better.
We're gonna be sitting right at looks like 6-1/2" center to center. And then measuring the, looking at the 2" side and measuring from the center of that 5/8" hitch-pin hole. We are sitting right at, line that out better for you. We're sitting right at 2" from the center of that 5/8" hitch-pin hole to the end of that 2" receiver end and then from the center of our 1/2" hitch-pin hole to the end of the end that's gonna be going in your 1-1/4", we're sitting again at 2". Well, that's gonna conclude our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me..
