Appreciating how quickly your well-practiced eye adapts to a new shooting scenario. Some real nice shots. Great inspiration for using my self-Xmas gift of a Laowa 6mm, MFT.

Way cool and rectilinear! I’m not a frequent super-WA lens user, so your challenge of “what-to-shoot” is familiar. You nailed some real good ones though! Thanks for sharing this!

Nice. I had a 8mm for M43, but this is a whole new level of wide, for sure.

Agreed! My new Pana/Leica 25mm f1.4 feels like a telephoto now.

How nice this review of a wide angle lens. I bought my Laowa 6mm (12mm ff) this summer and love the challenge of it. Land/cityscaping and portraiture.

Nice. Was that picture of you in front of the car shot with that lens?

@@RobTrek That was the regular 14-42 mm kit lens.

Hey Rob. Thanks for your video and your work again. I have a question for you. I followed you with the m4/3 system and olympus gears. I see recently that even if I love my m43 gears there isn't any big improvement as in the past. If I would like to explore the FF system do you think that Sony should be my first choice? Do you have any other suggestion? Peris

I would look for the lens you want first and then see which mounts it comes in. All of the systems have great lenses. It's just a matter of finding the perfect combo that works best for you. For example, I like the OM + 300mm f/4, Sony + Ziess 55mm f/1.8, Fuji + Sigma 56mm f/1.4, Panasonic L-mount + 50mm f/1.8, Nikon + 28mm f2. Once you have the perfect combo, you can build out from there. If you prefer zooms, the Sony + Tamron is best bang for the buck. If you prefer primes, the Panasonic + f/1.8 primes are best bang for the buck. Canon & Nikon have great lenses, but pricey! I honestly don't think image quality difference alone to be enough to switch systems. Think about features, ergonomics, and price. I would consider a Sony A1 + 600mm f4 to replace my OM + 300mm f/4, but price and ergonomics trump the gains in image quality. Most of the Sony cameras don't have focus bracketing. The hi-res shot modes in everything suck compared to OM and Panasonic - OM being the best. No one has Live ND except OM. So feature wise, I don't think anyone has really caught up to OM and Panasonic. Ergonomics is personal. I find the OM1 and EM1 series the most comfortable. So ultimately, OM beats out Panasonic for me. As for price, overall m4/3 is best bang for the buck. Currently, I have the luxury of owning other systems. But I would still choose m4/3 over them all. I know it's not a definitive answer, but I hope it helps. Find your halo lens, then the camera that fits it.
